Got mine today. Not sure I like the pull-out disk drawers. The rest of the case is pretty cool. And its not quite as thick as the BTTF trilogy.

Got mine from Amazon today also.

Gonna watch the Extended cut first.

Does anybody know if the SE Re-Release footage is in the Extended cut also? Otherwise I'll skip that version.

That seems rather pointless.
It is pretty pointless and ruins the hardcover book look (which pretty much matches the Alien set) while sitting on the shelf, IMO. Petty I know. My slip is going to the closet.

Whether you think Avatar is this generation's Star Wars or a bloated, over-indulgent spectacle that represents everything that's wrong with cinema today—me, I'm somewhere in the middle—it's hard to argue with the over two and a half billion box office dollars that the film has raked in worldwide. Avatar fans are legion—and passionate—and this three-disc Blu-ray set is for them. They won't be disappointed. Featuring the same outstanding audio/video performance as the standalone release, this new edition adds eight hours of never-before-seen bonus features, including 45-minutes' worth of deleted scenes and a production documentary that'll tell you any and everything you'd ever want to know about the making of the movie. If you love Avatar, this is the release to get. Recommended!
That last bit of the review just guarantees I will get it, even if I don't keep it in the actual collectible packaging.

An audio commentary with Cameron. I also have the feeling that whenever we get a full-fledged 3D release, new features will be unearthed.

How can the live action look video gamish and the CGI look real?

Shouldn't it be the other way around considering the live action people are real and the CGI characters are made up?

JC said it won't contain nothing new. And I thought dozens of documentaries with JC comments covers the whole movie.
