Exactly! Most people no matter how experienced in Home theater never realize how much the tonal qualities are improved with sound running past the simulated woodgrain. Good catch on that!

I think it looks way better on the wall, i really want to do that to my tv one of these days. Did you do it your self or pay someone to do it, and how much did it cost and how long?

Default vektar

hey vektar

It was very easy, me and my brother in law did it. The bracket was on sale at walmart for $99 and it only took about 20 minutes to put up. Just make sure you screw the bracket into the studs in the wall. We fished the wires down in behind the wall. The pictures arent great quality I wish you could see it better.

Kind of weir how it looks like a flat panel CRT. Pretty amazing acutally. It's like a modern TV stand sold in Ikea with a flat panel CRT on top. I don't know how old that tv is, but it looks a lot like the casual setup that most Ikea and crate & barrel contemporary shoppers have today, many generations later. The design is different, but the shape seems similar. Rectangular tv stand. Flat panel on top.

Anyway, here is the link to view our (not yet final) results. Please feel free to check for updates as we will be submitting images as this project progresses.

My fish used to jump a lot when we were watching a movie in the dark. Some of the scenes would go from dark to bright and he would jump. He's a jumper anyway.

I've attached a pic that shows the tank.

I finally got around to snapping some pics of my home theater set-up. Sorry for the low quality. I'll try taking some better ones later on in the new year.

Anyhow, let me know what you think.

I'm very proud of my poster and movie collection. And before anyone asks...

Yes, the swords are real. Yes they are VERY sharp, and no I don't loan them out.
