Yeah I highly doubt we will see Indy on BD before 2012.

Its 12pm here in the Eastcoast but seeing as its in Las Vegas and supposedly happening around 11:30am [Westcoast and Pacific time] I think we've got some waiting to do!

Lucas lies... a lot. There's no way this will be it. It may take a decade, but we'll get another 'improved' set.

#4 got a BD because it was a new theatrical release, but at that time, there wasn't enough of installed base to put out the original Indy trilogy. That's it.

The delay now seems to be because of a potential fifth movie. If that becomes a reality, that would be the time they'd put out a BD set.

I have those DVD's, I just really prefer the animation and stories from this newer series to those. I am sure I could integrate them somehow, if I even own them anymore.

The best guess is either 10/18 or 10/25.

My kids will be in school at that time in October. And really it's only the little guy who'll be 4 at that time and in daycare still. My 16 yr old daughter could be home and it wouldnt interfere.

Well..... let's hope it's true.... my daughter turns 2 on Oct. 29th and my Son turns 4 on Oct 30th...... So she gets the "new" ones, he gets the "original trilogy"

So are you breaking up the box set and then wrapping them? I guess being so young you could telll them anything.

But, I bring it up to point out that as far as everyone knows, there are not going to be separate releases for these films at the same time that the box set comes out.

We're 5 hours ahead of the East coast.

There's a 3 hour difference between the East and West cost, so when it comes to the West coast we're 8 hours ahead.

Hence it being 19.30 in the UK when the announcement gets made

Exactly what I said. We usually dont do military time, but 730 pm is 1930.
1130 am on west coast + 3 hrs = 230pm on east coast + 5hrs to UK = 730pm or 1930

QUESTION-

If there is an truth to the list provided several pages ago that the OT with be included unaltered, that would mean still 4x3, no pq improvements, no widescreen, and a 2.0 soundtrack (?)

If so, then are the HD versions (I know not true HD) I have on my DVR from Spike TV better then what we would get if the statement above is true?

The only way the unaltered OT will be included is if they are not the main offering on each disc, otherwise George will have to cut a check to his ex-wife on each set sold.

Yeah I'm wondering that myself, but the Spike TV HD versions [gotta check when I get home] has new footage no?
