I still don't quite understand why Blu-ray prices are still so high in Canada on new releases. Some drop quickly while others remain high long after release. Frankly I am not too surprise at the price, I would be getting it no matter what

That is the problem most of the time, the shipping sort of make it pretty much pointless in getting it from the USA unless it's a major price difference.

Sorry, but aside from them splitting the trilogy sets, this announcement was, as expected, under-whelming. No details, no actual date (although a month earlier) and nothing in respect to any of those items listed pages ago about OT included, no puppet yoda etc.

So, what we know today is basically what we knew yesterday- SW on BRD this fall. 3Q 2011 instead of 4Q.

The US has nearly 10x the buying power that Canada has. Depending on what the actual retail prices are at release, I will probably be picking this up from Amazon.com.

These details were provided ahead of time to retailers, etc. Who knows if more information is to come out of the announcement at CES.

The trailer on the star wars site shows the lightsaber colours as still being messed up in ROTJ.

Yeah, as announcements go this was welcome but not particularly impressive.

(edit: the price is actually pretty impressive though)

Wait until later and there might be more in press releases. Sometimes they can get a chance to ask questions after the panel is over. Also atleast now it is a done deal, we are getting them in september. Before it was in the cards that it could be delayed or something.
