Star Wars: The Complete Saga (1977-2005)

Has anyone seen any interior photos of these sets yet? I'm debating on whether to get the basic complete set or just purchase the two individual sets.

Special features don't concern me but I'd rather have the Blu-rays with individual packaging, via the slipcase method and not a digipack type of set.

I agree. The only packaging I really like is the standard BD case. I hope Star Wars is simply 9 individual cases inside one big slipcase that I can remove them from.

...Then toss the slipcase.

Also noteworthy is that 'Darth Farmer' David Prowse was one of the few people not invited to participate.

I prefer the standard blu-cases. I would probably hang on to slip case, but I don't understand alot of peoples obsession with them. I have even read some people refusing to buy a blu-ray because of the lack of a flimsy cardboard sleeve.
All I care about is the A/V transfer & the quality of the film.

I think that only way to accomplish this is:

1. Redo the OT - you could use the digital YODA, and you could use Ewan Mcgregor as Obiwan.

or
2. GL could digitally change each scene in the OT to fix all the inconsistencies.

I don't think either will happen.

Not Yoda saying Oh, you can't leave, you're training is not finished this week, then Oh no, you're training has been finished, you're fine. Go fight Dad again the next.

What I would really like is for GL to turn the whole franchise over the the Clone Wars crew & say Start back at the begining and give us one complete story, all the way through. They understand continuity, Watching the extras from season one, when they talk about how Anakin & Grevous can't meet in the series because it's obvious that their first face to face encounter happens during RotS... GL wouldn't have thought about that unless someone pointed it out after the fact. He would have simply done it & explained it away later, like C-3PO's memory-wipe. Of course his explination would probably open up an even bigger hole. But that wouldn't matter, as the true geeks would rationalize it away anyway.

finally. looking foward to seeing this on blue ray. im hoping lucas doesnt do that thing like adding special footage stuff to different box sets so you have to buy all them seperately crap. i will buy the ultimate set though im sure

Two of my favorites (Star Wars, Empire), one I really like that could become a favorite after the BD release (American Grafitti) and two fun shoot-em-ups (Clones and Sith).

That's an okay week for Billy Wilder but by human standards that's really not too shabby.

If I recall, he admitted to changing them from being "heavy" in ANH and making them "light" in the other movies (or at least the PT). No way I'm watching through 6+ hours of special features, but Lucas said it in there somewhere.
