Has anyone actually had a problem with disc 5 of Blade Runner? - Blu-ray Forum

Recognizing how easy it is to start a rumor and spread it, I was wondering whether anyone has actually found that Blade Runner has two copies of Disc 1 and no Disc 5. I went to Target last night, picked up the last copy of Blade Runner on BD in stock, and it had no such problem. So I'm wondering what the fuss is about.

For the amount of news coverage this is getting, you'd think that one out of every two or three sets has this problem. I suspect the problem--if any--is actually much, much, much less significant.

I'm unlucky -- didn't get one of the rare disc 5's with the disc 1 content. Everything was perfect.

(Sorry, I'm the kind of guy who loves too see stamps with the face upside down or something.

)

From the responses of people who have been affected(on AVS), this is only a Canada problem...

Checked it last night, it's the right disc. I have watched the restored print 3 times now......................I forgot how much I liked this movie and now that the sound and picture are HD............wow.

My discs 4 & 5 were actually missing ... not even in the case

I would have voted but there is no option the fits my problem

I had just the opposite "problem". In my case, I received two copies of disk 5. Two were in the same slot.

Mine had 2 copies for disk #1.

Disk #1 and 5 are the same.

Ok, we have found my disk 5 .... there is a disc 4 out there somewhere with my name on it !

My work print disk had enough fingerprints on it to track down the guy who packed it and his family.
