Awesome man. Watching it now.

Where the heck is that 23 ton Falcon today?! It's a collector's wet dream.

Actually, I wonder where a lot of the famous props of these movies go. I presume Skywalker Ranch? I would love to see the Yoda puppet one of these days if it's possible as it's my favorite part of the movies.

Empire - Overly dramatic

Phantom - Appropriate and performed well

Sith - Comic relief

I think Chewie was mentioning backpay or Han had the keys to the Falcon.

Must be the backpay, cause the EU says he keeps the keys in the vest pocket.

Interesting comment on Part 6 of the Building Empire documentary.

Great work Jambe, that shot of the AD telling the extras that the gun would have kick back is a great example of the attention to detail in the original trilogy, especially ESB. I worked as an extra on Ep1 including a Theed battle, no one told us how to 'act' with the guns. Some guys were doing machine gun motions, others shot gun style, and no one said anything. Thanks for posting your great work.

He sure did.

It's bound to happen, since they have replaced the puppet of TPM with the ROTS CGI version, they can't very well have another Yoda in between, right?

That is by far my favorite Yoda!

Final versions please!

Re-do everything that doesn't live up to standard of ROTS, and even there are some shots I am not happy with, but nothing is perfect.

No it may not be so, but once again we are talking about rights, so it's his right to refuse to provide it or to provide the way he want's it, since it's his product.

The problem is that for most people this simple concept seem very hard to understand. They say it's their rights to demand it but then get real upset when it's mention that Lucas as the rights to not provide it if he so wish it. Rights are not a one way street, something that a lot of people also have a hard time understanding in this day and age. They start calling him a hack and a money grabber and the devil and lot's of other nice colorful things that have been mention so often there is just no need to mention them again. What I do find funny is that most of these people are in the age group 30-40+ like myself growing up in the days of the originals but seem to show a total lack of maturity on the subjects of rights. It's all about MY RIGHTS NOW and what they want and just refuse to see that Lucas as the rights to do as he wish as well. Kids have that type of attitude. I would except adults to be able to be more rational and see things more clearly.

Granted, this is not just about Lucas. You can go in every thread in this forum or any other forum on the Internet and see the same mind frame. I WANT IT NOW and that is all. The Internet is a great tool but it also provide a chance for people to act in ways they would not act probably if it was a matter of a face to face conversation.

So at the end, the customers as the right to demand things but the one providing the products as the right to do so on his own term. You don't like what he is offering, do not buy it, that is your own rights but please stop acting like a spoiled child when you are not getting what you want. Pre-school was completed a long time ago.
Agreed.

You bought the products that were offered to you, no more, no less.
It doesn't give you any artistic licence, nor was there are contract in which was written that you had a say....

It's funny seeing all the comments here on this thread. Both OT and PT have awesome, fun/cool parts, and both have hokey silly parts. I find them amusing and I don't worry about continuity, etc. I just enjoy them for what they are.

They are STAR WARS.

Seems like most guys on here are not waiting for the BDs.

Am I the only one?

I still think they should include all versions of every film. They've done that with many blu-ray sets. Look at the Alien Anthology - even though I hate the 3rd and 4th films I have to give them credit that they did NOT fock around with this set. It is the defacto, ultimate edition of the Alien films. You cannot get better or get more. Each film, each version, tons of extras, etc, etc.

That is the RIGHT way to release a true Box set. As an example of what NOT to do: LOTR screwed up when they didnt just releases a 6 or 7 disc mega set last time around. Dumb.
Didn't the director of Alien Resurrection speak out about how awful the BD was? Weren't Alien and Aliens the only films that got true restorations?

Seth Rogen just got to sit down with Lucas and talk for 20 minutes?

No. Fair.

But he was funny in the Fanboys movie as a Trekkie.

Yep I agree, that added scene there where he is screaming is really cornball, and has always bothered me.

Almost all of ESB is "cornball" so it kinda fits.

“He was not serious when he talked about the end of the world in 2012 but he is an adamant believer that the world is flat, that Stonehenge was built by aliens, and that the sun revolves around the Earth,” Hale said. “These are among the many subjects he commonly discusses at length with Elvis, who he’s going to digitally insert into Indy 5 along with a roster of famous dead actors.”

Here ya go.

"At the end of filming for Return of the Jedi the Millennium Falcon was sold as scrap. Not long before the Jawas cleared away the backlot a young Peter Briggs, screenwriter of Hellboy, spent some time in February, 1982 taking some of the last known images of what was the last ship to be built in Pembroke Dock. Apart from memories and a few photographs, the only pieces that survive are those rescued by Anthony Daniels and now rest in private collections around the world."

I was kinda hoping that they STILL had it kept in storage somewhere, but I guess not.
