So, comparing resolution and sound capabilities then, the HP is better than the Sony in your opinion? Since it seems like the majority of people prefer Macs to PCs these days, would it be a smarter move to go with an Apple notebook of some kind?
Sony has a Notebook in a 17 inch that has 1080P resolution. The 20.1 inch screen on the HP is more enjoyable since it is larger. HP also ships with Vista 64 bit version when ordering it directly as an option from HP. Sony only offers the 32 bit version of Vista. Yes the HP is better then the Sony if you order it fully loaded. It also is $1500 more expensive.
The Mac’s have good Notebooks with 1080P quality 17 inch screens but currently a BLU-RAY internal drive is not a option. Sony and Dell both have 17 inch screens that offer 1080P quality with BLU-RAY drives. HP offers a 20.1 inch Notebook that will play 1080P quality when a BLU-RAY drive is used. The Intel processor is also 2.8GHZ in the HP when ordered fully loaded.
CES starting on Jan 7th 2008 might have some new models to choose from that will be released in early to late 2008.
