For those THAT DON'T UNDERSTAND here goes:

In EP1:
He was able to take on Maul with no problem

In EP2:
He was no match for Dooku and was wounded.

In EP3:
He barely could hold his own against Anakin.

In EP 4:
He was completely weak against Vader.

I mean as the episodes went on he was getting more and more weaker and not able to hold his own.

WHY??
I don't see it that way

In Episode 1 - He just saw his master killed, that will have an effect,

Episode 2- Dooku has how many years of experience and training over Obi Wan? again experience will defeat youth

Episode 3- Anakin was crazed, and the Dark side was contolling him. Obi wan did not want to kill his friend, which he could easily have done, and almost did.

Episode 4- Obi wan allowed Darth to strik him down so that he could become stronger within the force and be a bigger help to Luke

i may be off base but this is how i see it, i dont see it as Obi Wan getting weaker

Default Anakin's weakness

I remember hearing back on 2005 that even though anakin was powerful he also had a weakness.

I believe it was that when fighting that Anakin was weak on a slope.

That would explain how Kenobi was able to deliver the devastating blow i remember Kenobi telling Anakin right when he was about to jump: DON'T TRY IT!

And also how Luke was able to get the upper hand in the fight in ROTJ by kicking him down the stairs.

I think the 'don't try it' was just a simple defense statement. If you have the higher ground, you're more likely to win. Anakin's weakness in my opinion was his anger.

+1 , i think even Obi wan said at the time, "I have the higher ground, dont try it" letting anakin know that Obi Wan had the advantage

Anakin/Darth Vader always had one weakness: when someone is on higher ground than him. Anakin/Darth Vader can beat anyone when they are at the same level, but if someone is like one or two steps higher than Anakin/Darth, he's screwed. It's common knowledge. And it's been explained over and over in the Star Wars books.

So his one weakness is the same weakness every person has ever had in the history of conflict? Cool.

Then how come that capt that vader choked on the rebel cruiser in SW was higher than him but he choked him anyways.

Obi-Wan: "Strike me down Darth, and I will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine."

I don't see allowing yourself to be struck down as weakness, but that's just me.

This theory too has been explained over and over in all the Star Wars books -If that capt had a knife or gun in his hand as he was being choked and raised high into the air, Darth Vader would have been a goner.

I always thought it was funny how Darth Vader seemed a little confused after he strikes down Obi Wan and then pokes around his empty clothing. It's almost like it would have something to talk about with the Emperor soon after, like "Master, after I struck down Obi-Wan, he disappeared and left no trace of a body. What the hell happened and how can I learn that?"

Qui-Gon left a body behind but Yoda and Obi-Wan did not, one would assume they became one with the Force when they died, not sure if Anakin did as well.

I read in this thread that it was just the suit that was burned.

Yoda's clothes also disappeared. Shouldn't Vader's armor disappear as well? I'm kidding.

He did when the Ewoks ate him. Ewoks love to BBQ. Anakin only became one with the force the next morning after the papers were delivered.....

I always thought his body was in the suit when it was burning and the force ghost came later.

I've always thought that his body was still there. If it wasn't, I think they would've shown him fading away, like Yoda.
