Just watched bits and pieces of the Saga on dvd and the experience is no longer the same. I just noticed for the first time ever that, in Return of the Jedi, that when we are in Vader's shuttle cockpit in the beginning, we can hear the humming of the TIES following it.. so now I must watch them all for the last time on DVD before upgrading them to Blu....

Also noticed for the first time the Probe Droid in the Imperial Lines when the Emperor arrives......

Really can't wait for the clarity of picture ans sound of the Blu to discover new things I had never seen/heard before.
Yup. I love the tauntauns in V that you can hear all around you. And the scene with Luke in Yoda's home when it's pouring rain.. Awesome.

The sound of the TIE fighters is always awesome.

There will never be a "final" version until Lucas gets too old to do it.

Yeah, but on that version the Rebels surrender to the Empire

However, I find that the outright removal/toning down of said soundtrack is far more serious then the reversed musical cues.

That MUST be fixed!

George, make it happen!

And then a nice extra/bonus would be 'isolated scores' without title cards.

.
I agree with you whole heartedly. I have always detected a level or resentment in Ben Burtt regarding the popularity of the music. I am convinced that if he had his way, the movies would be nothing but sound effects. Well Mr. Burtt almost had his way with Attack of the Clones and the results are what sound like a bad fan film at times, with half the score being poorly edited tracks from Phantom Menace. My biggest wish for the prequels is that John Williams goes back and composes a complete score for Attack of the Clones, though that will probably never happen. Nothing takes me out of Episode II more than that mess that passes for a film score. But the sound effect of the seismic charges are cool.

If this kid could bring down THAT then Sith and Jedi would be pretty much God-like, so I agree. You see, this is what one of those things where it's created at a later date so it doesn't really make sense with the earlier material (kind of like R2's PT abilities).

It's supposed to look cool.

My proof is Empire Strikes Back. Vader could have easily crushed/controlled the Falcon numerous times if this were possible.

Agreed.

We just have to accept the fact that there's contradictions all over the place in the Star Wars saga. Be they from film to film, trilogy to trilogy, film to TV series... Whatever. Some people will always try to explain everything. But the simple fact is that consistency is a minority race in the Star Wars universe.

And....

Yoda could have just flung that pillar into Count Dooku's escape ship to keep him from getting away at the end of AotC.

Also, like your Falcon point you made, Vader could have just swatted the X-Wings into the canyon walls on the Death Star too.

He could have but that wouldn't have given Han the opportunity to come up from behind and blast his ship, which is odd given what we know about Vader's abilities as a pilot and with the Force.

I don´t know but I still like to read those lines as a kind of confirmation that further enhancements will be made... I really really hope so! Wouldn´t it be a kind of a downer to see "A New Hope" released on BD and theatrically in the state it was in 2004? I really can´t imagine Lucas lets us down! He never has.

I just like orignal movies am not a hardcore Star wars fan but some how i dont trust Geourge Lucus. He is gonne give fans the Special Eddition's with more changes.

Totally, totally, totally agree. Every time Burtt remixes the movies he pushes the music even further into the background. Tit. And a proper score for Clones would work wonders for the film IMO.

Along with Chris Meledandri, they will be discussing all aspects of digital cinema - one of the more high-powered panels ever hosted by the convention.

James Cameron, Jeffrey Katzenberg, George Lucas and Chris Meledandri are set to appear together on a panel at CinemaCon, the annual convention of theater owners that takes place later this month in Las Vegas.

They’ll be discussing all aspects of digital cinema. It’s one of the more high-powered panels ever hosted by the convention, although Lucas and Cameron appeared together at the convention in 2005 to talk about digital 3D. CinemaCon runs March 28-31 in Las Vegas; the session on digital cinema will be held March 30.

The following morning, Cameron will give a talk on projection frame rates.

The convention-previously called ShoWest -is getting a facelift this year and a new name. The National Assn. of Theater Owners is now in full control of the show.
