I would expect to see Thor 2 in 2014 at the latest.

Feige said talks with Branagh to return for a sequel would begin soon.

Good news. Yea, 2-3 yrs away (with "THE AVENGERS" next yr) would seem adequate.

When does this BD hit the streets? Lol. I want it Now!

That works. Probable $21.99-24.99 price tag, but enough Before "Black Friday" week that it could go down to $12-14.99?

I agree with that in multiple ways. Besides the obvious greed I have for wanting more, the movie streamlined a lot. They had to. Branagh did a great job of introducing multiple characters, origins, and conflict all while making it work with the other Marvel films and connecting to the Avengers. I look forward to seeing a story to the characters already introduced.

I can't wait to see what Branagh does with Thor 2. Now tha he knows how to make it, I think he can do something even better.

2014 seems reasonable unless they want to have two movies in the same summer like this year. Iron Man 3 will be in 2013.

Regardless if IMO the last action scene was kind of a letdown, this movie was so much fun! Possibly the best Marvel movie yet and I can't wait for the Blu!

Agreed. 2-3 years there'll be another Thor film.

And I want it now too.

I don't think the next one will take as long because hopefully they will start filming all these movies in 3d and eliminate the 8 months it took to convert it .

I think it will. Avengers is coming out next year, so that's one of the years down and I doubt they'll bunch up their properties. I can see two Marvel films in one summer. If I had to guess Iron Man 3 would be for sure one of the next films after The Avengers and maybe another Hulk. These would probably be released in the summer of 2013. Then, another Cap and Thor could come out the following summer. Plus, don't forget there are plenty of other superhero films these sequels might have to contend with.

Iron Man 3 is already locked in for Summer 2013. Unless problems arise with the script, expect that one year after Avengers in May.

Marvel has said their goal was multiple movies in a year. Now that they have Disney backing them and have several franchises established mixed with starting to put others in development soon, they are ready to consistently achieve that goal.

We could see Thor 2 as early as 2013 with Iron Man 3, but it depends on what they decide to stick in the other slot. But like I said before, I believe 2014 is the latest we'll have to wait.

True. I didn't really consider that. Let's hope they don't drive the superhero genre into the ground though. One or two a year would be fine, but any more than that would be pushing it. Especially since there are other companies that hold superhero rights and could potentially put out films the same year as a Marvel film just to capitalize on the success of Marvel's films.

I saw it this weekend in IMAX 3D. COMPLETE AND UTTER BAD ASS!!! Thor and Iron Man were my 2 favorite comics as a kid so I was hoping to be as pleasantly surprised with Thor as I was with Iron Man. Wow, this movie did NOT disappoint in the least! The only 2 words I can come up with to describe every aspect of this film are BAD ASS!!!

Thor= BAD ASS
Odin = BAD ASS
the Destroyer = VERY BAD ASS
the Ice Giants = BAD ASS
Asgard = BAD ASS
Loki = PUNK ASS (but still bad ass! )
The Gate Keeper = ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE BAD ASS!!

Special effects = BAD ASS
Sound effects = BAD ASS (but a bit too loud at times)

I don't know what the budget was for Thor but to me it looked like it had to be easily the most expensive movie Marvel has done so far. It's just such a visual tour de force in almost every scene! I thought the acting was good and even the humor worked for me which is usually the one thing in most action/super hero movies that I hate.

For sheer enjoyment and entertainment value this movie is a complete 10!!
