Sorry if this has been talked about, but it's hard to keep up with threads like these.
No one knows for sure yet. Hopefully this gets addressed soon though.

Yeah, what I thought was a change looks like it was just a part of their presentation graphics. Thanks for that link..picture quality looks very good from what little we get there. Still, I think there is a reason only bits and fragments are being shown. And I expect advance review copies will go out very close to release day.

Love the vivid blaster fire in that clip..hope it bodes well for the light sabres.

For all we know they could have recently filmed the scene inserted it into the movie and added it a special bonus into Episode III

Absolutely nothing can be determined from that promo video from Comic-Con. The lighting, camera used, etc. all affect how the clips look. You can say, "WOW, it looks amazing!" or you can say, "Wow, looks terrible!" and in both cases you'd be right because nobody can prove you wrong.

It's not a perfect representation, but I think this is a good sign. Yes angles and lighting do affect stillshots, but it will not hide major mistakes.

I was going to hold off pre-ordering, but I finally broke down at Comic-Con today to get this...

BTW, the packaging looks really nice in person.

I had been keeping it a secret but I must admit that last month after having pre ordered way backin January I canceld my pre order thinking to myself "It's almost £70, I can wait a few months for it to drop in price."

But who was I kidding, after seeing some updated packaging shots and seeing that it comes with a limited edition film cell, I had to re order it. I just can't say no.

Limited to only 1138.

Did you see the blu-ray presentation? How's the PQ?

Well, the 2004 releases had various color issues. For example Vader's cockpit in A New Hope had pinkish colors where it should be red.

Someone was comparing shots of that scene between the Ewan McGregor interview clip and the bootleg comic-con footage to conclude that the blu-rays will correct previous color issue.

Again, it's not a good or bad sign. It's not any sign because it's an unofficial bootleg with decent at best quality.

I watched that video and you know what I thought? The color was even more pink/white than before. That's how it APPEARS but I know it's not representative of the actual quality.

I just don't see how anyone can rationally watch that clip and deduce the color issues are fixed. It confirms/denies nothing. And yes, a bootleg video may very well conceal major mistakes. Way too many factors/unknowns.

I realize many of you are excited for this release and want it to be the best - me too. But don't let your excitement convince you of something that has not yet been confirmed.

If you click on the episode 5, it shows a pic of the Bespin duel. What color does the saber look like to everybody, red or pink?

Hate to say it but I'm a bit disappointed with that video of the whole Death Star Trench Run...when the DS explodes, the blue halo still appears.

Guess they didn't do much after all..

Is the trailer on that link supposed to be new and made up of the (supposedly) remastered OT footage? Because if it is, I don't think too much was done to it. Many of the scenes look noticeably darker than the PT scenes, and you can clearly see the light saber coloring error in the quick clip from ROTJ when Luke and Vader cross their lightsabers right in front of the Emperor's face.

Those pics are screenshots from the movie, most probably from the blu-ray itself, 2.35:1 with black bars in 1.78:1 frame. Looks very good on my phone.

The picture of episode 1 on the blu-ray site looks like a new shot of the podrace to me I don't know if it was in the film before or not.

That podrace scene on the BD website is in the movie (just popped it in for a quick peek). It's a split second shot, but the BD-image looks incredible compared to the DVD image. The DVD has that "pink-hue" everybody talks about, but this BD Image does not!! I've also noticed that the BD-image shows a bit more of the movie than the DVD, cause I have it on screen-fit, or 1:1 pixel, so I'm seeing the whole image the DVD is giving me.

I'm just going to buy this used. I'm not paying $130+ for the complete Star Wars in Blu-Ray. The $100+ price for Pirates Of The Caribbean 4-movie 15-disc collection was bad enough.

Besides, this collection doesn't come with a digital copy of the movies.
