But which sabers in the prequels? the round ended ones in TPM or the pointy ones in AOTC & ROTS?

I didn't like the pointy edges on the sabers. If the OT ones are redone, hopefully they'll have rounded edges.

ok so let me see if I follow, there are people who refuse to buy the set because of the SE change, petty in my opinion but understandable to a degree. Then there are still those who won't buy it because of some minor color tinting that they claim is too distracting, ok still petty but since Blu Ray is a av enthusiasts format understandable still.

However there is now a third class of people claiming to refuse buying the set because they do not like the cover art or packaging? I am sorry that is not just petty that is border line insane. How hard is it to just get some cheap Blu Ray boxes and replace the art yourself? Sure your going to reply you shouldn't have to it should be perfect blah blah except that still is insane because some people like the packaging while others don't but serious if your going to refuse to buy the set just because you do not like the box or the art well I just don't get it.

I wonder how many of each sub set are either just blowing smoke to stir up controversial conversation, or if they are really that petty? again I am not attacking anyone here I am trying to understand the mentality because to me it seams insane, so not saying you are insane just it seams that way to me.

Maybe insane is too strong of a word so maybe replace insane with confusing?

Personally, I don't care at all about artwork, but I would prefer a case where the discs snap in and out, like a standard blu ray case. I don't like the idea of sliding the discs in and out, I don't care what everyone says, there is some friction and there will be minor scratches. It will bug me, but it's not going to prevent me from buying it since I've waited for these blu rays for so long - but I think I and others should be allowed to be disappointed if its not what we wanted. I think a lot of the complaints about the sliding discs is appropriate and well-founded, and it is pretty important part of discussing the blu ray set.

LOL, where are the MODS now? what in the heck does ALL this chatter about artists and brain sides, and schooling have to do with this release? jeez.

This thread just keeps getting more and more messed up.

What would you like to see in the documentaries that will be on the blu-rays? Me I would like to see more stuff on how they did the sound design on all 6 films and also some more stuff on the old special effects that where done for episodes 4-6.

Docs on anything but fanboys playing dress up, horrible music videos and comedians! Okay, I would like to see a doc on the effects work on Jedi's space battle. Its still (imo) the best space battle in the entire series. Would LOVE to see a doc on all the hard work that went into it!

That is a valid complain the case but I was talking about the ones who are saying the artwork is a reason not to buy the set. That seams beyond petty to me.

I'd like to see documentaries on the merchandising, in particular the action figures.

I have like 8 of them still unopened from when I was hardcore collecting.

The one I got was in regular packing and it did have a purple one. It also had a micro chip stand. I'll have to dig it out to post a pic. I've never seen that one before.

Agreed, along with the laser bolts and engine glows, but maybe that's just me.

I had the same figure with the micro chip that "talked" when you swiped it across the reader ... Mace had a blu and Ki-Aidi Mundi had a purple, they may have changed them in future releases though.

Everybody keeps bashing the spoof feature but I wouldn't be surprised if that turns out to be one of the more popular extras.

Don't get me wrong, it could totally suck.

But there's a lot of potential there.

I think I'd probably enjoy that. I'd spot stuff I used to own and go 'Awww....'

So Comic-Con has come and gone (?), did we find out anything new about the boxsets? Apart from they may be using the same transfers as the DVD's.

I have that version from the Episode I figure series collection, but he came with a blue lightsaber.

I remember Ki-Adi-Mundi coming with a purple lightsaber.

Neither of these characters were ever actually shown using a lighsaber in Episode I. I ended up just swapping their lightsabers around with the figures when I found out that in Episode II they happened to have opposite color light sabers.

Are you sure that you maybe didn't do the same thing and that's why you remember them being this way? Or if your Mace Windu is still in the package, maybe they just packed him with the wrong saber?
