1) Removing scene where Han steps on Jaba's tail.
2) Revert to Han shoots first although lets just pretend I didn't say that so chaos does not ensue.
3) Take out the horrible added dialogue between Vader/Emperor ("I have no doubt that the young rebel....blah blah....offspring of Anakin Skywalker" - horrible)
4) At least at the end of RotJ put a friendlier looking Hayden Christensen ghost with no devilish smirk.

Although we may be more likely to see:

1) Extended scene where Han not only steps on Jaba's tail but then ties the tail to a speeder and goes for a ride, "comically" dragging Jaba behind him.

2) Han not only doesn't shoot first but doesn't shoot at all - the blast from Greedo ricochets off the wall and hits himself. Han then calls for medical attention.

3) The dialogue between Vader/Emperor is extended to include political discussions.

4) Evan McGregor's ghost replaces Alec Guinness at end of RotJ.

Man, George could go any direction with these upcoming blu rays.
I am sure he already has. Typically BD and DVDs are completed 2 to 4 months before release.

Sweet, thanks for the info. I really like the 2nd lap, except for the part when Anakin's cable comes out of the pod and he hooks it back on with the Force, the transition to that is a bit off, but I like everything else about the extended 2nd lap.

I wouldn't get too excited. Modified may just mean modified from their original versions. The OT films have been modified for years. Even if the transfer is nothing more than a straight port of the 2004 transfer with nothing further done to it, that is still modified.

I'd be disappointed if TPM didn't feature the new CGI Yoda. "Modified" could mean a lot of stuff, going by that Australian Classification Board rating.

If you compare a 2010 DVD release http://www.classification.gov.au/www...5?OpenDocument that says 260 minutes,

with the BD release that says 397 minutes http://www.classification.gov.au/www...5?OpenDocument

some things must've changed.

Not a good option, you only get the bonus materiel with the complete saga set.
great bonus features trumps artwork imho.

Well, the extended 2nd lap of the podrace works up to the "cable breaking and Anakin fixing it with the Force." But I agree with the extended Coruscant arrival, it does break the pace a bit.

Does Anakin use the force to fix the cable? I was always under the impression the tool he grabbed the cable with was magnetic. I was hoping he would use the force when I first saw it, but it didn't look like he did to me.

sure, if you dont mind missing out on TONS of bonus features, deleted scenes, etc...
Me, I hate the saga set artwork, but it's the content that counts.

From what I remember, the tool he had is actually part of the hook up for the pod, here's the video:

Skip to 4:20. It could be a magnetic tool, but I just always thought he used the force to get it under control, since he did have "Jedi Reflexes" as Qui-Gon put it

After watching the clip, that makes sense. Personally I hope they don't include the extended lap or the arrival on Coruscant (Jar Jar thinks the Queen's hot? Really? ). Still looking forward to the release as a whole though.

That's the great thing about the prequels - so much is left to the viewer's imagination and you could find many different meanings in Lucas' work. Except when they take a two word reference from the OT such as the clone war and explicitly set the story around it, and in doing so tie up Boba Fett's origin (another great mystery of the originals), and also go into Chewbacca's origin as well. Lucas went in a different direction with those. I hope the new blu ray releases preserve such double meaning if not expand on them.

Agreed. I heard there was an extended version of the battles at the end of TPM and AotC. In all seriousness I would like to see the extended versions in these movies.
