Jeez you people, we just had probably the most optimism this thread has ever had, and then it goes all back to the stupid arguing.

Will it EVER stop?

So weird. I'd think they'd devote a cover to it. Maybe next month...

Friends was about twentysomethings in New York City. I'm not astonished at all that someone in the UK finds it unfunny.

Did you hang out with Americans that laughed at Friends when someone walked through the door? Or is that just how you perceive Americans?

Ok...Pot said it wasn't even mentioned.

Now I have to demand video proof and/or affidavits by you both so that I can assess the truth in this matter. Screenshots too, please....

Great news so far about the new transfer. I'm also encouraged that Lucasfilm said it would combine both "1997 and 2003" versions of the film. Would it be asking too much that Lucas has gotten rid of Hayden at the end of RoTJ? I mean it doesn't make sense. If Luke is the only one who can see those ghosts, and they are formed from his own memories of how they looked, then he would have no idea of what 'young Anakin' looked like, whereas he saw 'older Anakin' (Darth) when he removed the helmet.

C'mon George, doesn't take a scientist!

I'm in full agreement with you that the ending doesn't make any sense... but I'm not sure where you're getting the info in the above quote. No where is it stated or even implied that the ghosts are formed from Luke's memories.

Yoda sees Ben's ghost as well... doesn't he? Or does he just hear his voice? I'm pretty sure he sees him, just as Luke does.

I really think the ghosts are more symbolic than anything. Really, it makes no sense for Anakin to be young, but it works well because it shows how Luke brought out the good in Anakin and essentially brought him back to the "light side" before he died. So his ghost appears as he did before he became Vader.

It's symbolism more than anything. Don't read too much into it in terms of how the visual coincides with the rest of the story. The whole saga is based on elements of ancient literature, greek myths, etc.
