Behind the scenes photo of the podrace stands:

Hopefully we'll be able to spot the Star Wars Action Fleet figures of Xizor, Xizor and Chewie on the TPM disc!

Has it been confirmed as actual footage, or still only 2004 1080p transfer footage? That is one question that should be asked on the home theatre forum to the Lucasfilm rep. End an awful lot of debates here.

Outside of the small snippets added to the special features previews, have we actually seen any BD footage yet?

Is this on disc 7,8, or 9?

I think it is very clear that the WalMart footage is from the BD.

That would be the additional footage added to the special features preview then

The trailer is the thing I am most interested in, is that BD footage or just recycled 2004 footage?

Walmart has the Blu-ray's already but is not allowed to sell them till the 9/16
with permission from Fox they are allowed to show snippets each week.

Hopefully next week a scene from ROTJ.

**Sidenote**-- I don't know if this is true but it would make sense seeing as how they are showing new stuff.

LOL, no not true, they are being given the excerpts by Lucasfilm to advertise the set, hence they then appear on the official star wars site soon after. It does however appear to be each film in sequence, so next monday should be ROTS.

It is unlikely the sets have shipped to retailers just yet due to risk of leaks. They will probably all get the sets the week of, or prior to release.

Whats up with the different framing?

What?? does my side note on my post say??

IF it is true than that would explain why they are showing off stuff from the Blu-ray.
But as Merlin pointed out this is not the case.

Probably a few frames different in the film when captured. More to the point, whats up with the lobster people top left? Why has the pink tint seemingly gone, but the crowd suddenly been cooked for a few more minutes until a nice rich pink colour?

Ooppss, I said PINK. I didn't say it, it wasn't me, someone that looks like me, but not me - runs

Here's an idea, frightening as it is......Whoever is first post on the 1000th page gets to write up a two paragraph(is that even enough?) summary of what has transpired in the 999 posts before it. Have a nice day....

Cool

Without a doubt, my first (and only) rant that I will make about this release (based on the information provided by Lucasfilm) is the lack of inclusion of the PT's bonus features (as well as the OT's extra disc).

I'm sure most of us will agree that those releases were one of the best DVD single movie releases of all time. Not only did they sport a great video (except Ep. I) and audio transfer/track, but the first disc included different language options and an audio commentary.

Also included was second disc, which had a main documentary (one of them being the excellent The Beginning), with a bunch of small featurettes (or web documentaries), which were ALL interesting and engaging (I must admit, I have enjoyed these extra features more than any other release), and also deleted and extended scenes (oh, and those still galleries which I almost never take a look at).

The only thing left for those who like those bonus features like me, is to buy a four disc holder and make our own 'package' of those special features. It is a shame they aren't gonna be included, but at least they are still available in our old releases.

EDIT: Btw, there are some new videos on Star Wars' YouTube channel, including footage from the OT.

Each season gets better n better & its the same day of the SW bluray release:

Cartoon Network today announced that "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" will premiere 22 all-new episodes for Season Four with a special, one-hour premiere Friday, September 16, at 8 p.m. (et/pt).

I've been threatening to watch the Clone Wars series for the last two years but I just can't. Lucas has officially labeled this series canon and I'm terrified that there will be continuity issues between the films and this series and I just couldn't live with that.

And that trailer for Season Four doesn't make it any better for me, because it looks glorious.

I really, really want to introduce this series to my boys but if any continuity issue shows up, it'll taint my enjoyment of the films...and I can't let that happen.

Which is sad because cartoons, these days, are terrible. But this show genuinely looks like the real deal.

It creates zero continuity issues with the films. Now certain fanboy get upset when Lucas messes with their precious EU (comics and novel) continuity. It's a great show and a couple of story arcs have been as good as the Saga itself. Great stuff.

Who are you threatening?

They do not create any continuinty issues aside from making Anakin look like a total badass as compared to the semi-badass in ROTS. I think it actually does a fantastic job bridging the gap and making the "Clone Wars" seem like an event instead of a mere afterthought to the Anakin-Padme love story from AOTC and ROTS.

Do yourself a favor and watch "the Mordis trilogy" or "the Death Watch trilogy" from Season 3. Those trilogies are some of the best Star Wars available anywhere on any format.
