It says at the end of those scans that there's a review on page 134. Any chance of getting a scan of the review?

Reviewers have not gotten copies yet. Fox titles are typically received the day of release or maybe a day earlier for Blu-ray titles. This has been the case for quite sometime now, probably to prevent copies from going onto torrent sites. I wouldn't expect reviews until the day of release or later.

I've seen all those scenes but I haven't come across any Wompa attack scene as described in this article.

I always understood he worked on the Anakin/Obi-Wan duel, and an unknown second scene, I didn't know he worked on so many other scenes in the movie.
Also during filming Francis Ford Coppola flew down to Austrilia to visit Lucas on set and did some uncredited second unit work for Revenge of the Sith for fun for a few days.

There was even pictures of him on set doing this captured by the StarWars.com web cam that you could pay to view that was running all throught production but I don't think anything from that is still floating around out there online.

Regarding these blu-rays with all the tidbits of additional changes, Matthew Wood remixing everything, etc., I'm really curious to see what reviewers say and how the lists of all changes from the 2004 versions add up.
Not to drag us off topic... but I'm sure that's not what the ban is for. Pro and Anti Lucas people are suspended equally.

They don't want any discussion of the actual films in the thread. Which I know sounds weird, but eh... maybe they'll relax once the films are actually out. Nor do they want continued Pro-Lucas/Anti-Lucas debates. Or Pro-Prequel/Anti-Preque debates. Nor do they want bickering and fighting. Light discussion related to the actual Blu-Rays and any new info that surfaces about them is on topic. Continued attempts to drag it off topic after the Mods spent HOURS cleaning it is what isn't allowed. From what I was told this morning, like 20 pages had to be dealt with. That's all.

Based on what Frank Oz said in some of the commentary on the Episode II DVD and since, I don't think he cares much.

Yeah I would be interested to see what the review says as well. My guess is it's probably BS and will be written quite vaguely.

Plus by 1999 Frank Oz did not enjoy doing puppetry at all. At his older age it was far harder for him to work the puppet (he even complained as much in some behind the scenes TPM footage). He had retired completely from The Muppets by this point due to that as well, and to this day he only will do one day of puppetry on Sesame Street each new season because of how much harder it is to operate puppets once you start getting advanced in the years.

True, in fact in the Episode I DVD documentary Oz is showed some footage of one of the digital creatures in the film. He turns to GL and says, "You don't need me anymore."

So if there is a "Spielberg chase" feature, I bet my deduction was right, and it's his animatics for the Grievous/Obi-Wan chase on Utapau or whatever the name of the sink-hole planet is.
He also "Directed" the opening space battle

Of course Fox will get some of it. They are the ones who are publishing it.

gallandro,

I remember that moment about Oz from the documentary. That was a pretty telling moment from Oz.

The fact that Lucas hasn't touched the Yoda from Episodes V and VI should be a clear indication of what he thinks of Oz's work.

I just think he wanted digital from the get go with Yoda in the Prequels because he knew he would have to involve Yoda in more of the action during this part of the saga.

It's no wonder why ROTS is such a better movie.

Still, best bet is to keep either the B&N and DD preorders? I really don't care in BB's film cell 'exclusive'.

I can't remember one negative magazine review of the 2004 DVD's. In fact a lot of magazines used A New Hope to benchtests TV's and players.

EMPIRE rarely even go into detail with their BD reviews they rarely mention picture and sound. They didn't mention 'Greengate' with The Fellowship of the Rings' or that Super was 1080i. They don't even give a guide price for the releases anymore (even books).

Shame as I stopped buying one of the UK's top DVD/BD magazine because the reviewers got weird....

Because he directed good scenes. Granted, that doesn't mean he wrote them or cut the scenes, but it has a 'feel', he IS strong with the force.

How many of you are going to junk the packaging and put the discs in individual cases? I'm concerned about scratching the disc with the way they have it now.

Unless the discs are in danger of falling out, I'm going to keep them in (Complete Saga packaging). BD's are pretty tough these days. I've had floaters arrive in the mail with not a scratch on them.
