Well, the Boba Fett cartoon at the very least is supposedly on the one disc as an Easter Egg.

I forget what the other one is from. I think it's possibly based on either the comics or from the Droids cartoon.
Pretty loosely based, seeing as how in the Holiday Special he was riding this...

...but in that art it looks like he's riding a whatever-species-Boga-is. I think I'd prefer a more realistic take on the actual SWHS image, frankly.

Lol - Yea, cuz' not sending out preview sets to a few journalists/online sites, etc., is going to KILL the Sales of this set. You nailed it!!

This thing will set sales records in it's first HOUR available to the general public, not to mention the first Day, the first Week, Month...

Ditto - I don't mind the book packaging & the ALIEN one works fine, but oh well. People need SOMETHING to whine about, so it is what it is

That's how the movie was made. The sfx were limited back then and they were trying their best to create an 'epic' space battle (using a limited amount of models). Today's movies all used cgi which made it easier to add more fighters w/o much complication. It doesn't mean they have to fix everything for the blu-ray release. Like someone said above, it's moving so fast, most people wouldn't notice. Kind of like the Wampa's arm... most never noticed it before.

The answer is pretty straightforward: there is nothing to fix. A movie without any edges to it just wouldn't attract any attention at all. Some of the CGI mess of today is just laughable in comparison to this.

There aren't many space battles that come close to this kind of awesomeness that is ROTJ, including today's movies. Today's CGI is either looking like my christmas tree (EP3) without any real depth to it and/or it's just horribly boring. They've had some pretty good tricks up their sleeves back then. Not even counting these gorgeous models, which I am still amazed about, until this very day.

This is also the reason why I will definately buy the Saga set, not because of the prequels, but because I loved the models beginning from the first day I saw them as a kid.

The old Battlestar Galactica also had pretty good models and if I'm not mistaken, some of them were also made by Dykstra himself.

I wouldn't bet the Ranch on the UK going to a Amaray set anytime soon. The UK Alien Anthology was a Digipak first, Star Wars is a Digistack I can't see there been a huge incentive for Fox to change packaging. The little booklet may not even fit inside an Amaray so Fox would have to re-size it or not include it at all.

Looking at the pictures on the Spanish site showing the interior of the US set it's the first time I've noticed (or the first time it's registered) that the pictures are artwork and not photographs but on the UK set booklet they look like photographs. Although the picture isn't very detailed. So they may be identical.

Thinking about the US set it would be cool if Lucasfilm offered custom-made cases were people could pick their own (out of a selection provided by the site) pictures to represent their favourite moments of each film plus another three random pictures. I know companies do build your own Digipaks but make your own Star Wars case would be pretty nifty. It would be probably be a pain in the ass but what do you guys think?

I personally love the book style packaging. It gives the set some personality unlike a dull blu case. I think this release is going to be the greatest release of all time. The films looking better than they have ever looked in the presentation that George Lucas always wanted us to see them in.

I love the artwork and everything, but I just wish they could have had disc trays like the ones used in digibooks, so you could still see the artwork with the disc out. Hate the slots

Sorry if they were. I was on vacation.
Can anyone explain why they don't have disc art on them?

They were just check discs used for the event. Not the final pressings.

Again, it's not about patience. Read what I said. I'll be RE-BUYING. I bought the Alien boxed set twice...and I'm sure I'll buy Star Wars twice as well.
I just sell the older version on Ebay.

The problem isn't taking them out or putting them back. Obviously that set had so much special features that I couldn't watch them all at once. I noticed after taking one of the extras disc and putting back in throughout the period of a week, the slot actually degraded.

Plus, Yes, I much rather pop a disc out then ease it out of a tight cardboard slot.

My six disc case is far more practical. And should be more about practicality than presentation. Because practicality is built to last. In my experience, presentation usually isn't.
