I tried watching Episode 1 a few days ago to see if I wanted to get the full set, I could not finish it... really killed off my anticipation of watching it fully remastered I used to groan at the kiddie material, now I just can't handle it. Brings an otherwise okay flick to a truly moronic place.

Exactly. There is no rips of the PT yet - only the OT. And they aren't on any sites Merlin would have access to.

Apologies, I was looking at the unconfirmed torrents. The one on Millennium Falcon has already been widely commented on as a fake/HDTV rip. Search the well known torrent sites and you will see the prequel trilogy is also up form the same uploader and it has no Digital Yoda AKA FAKES! but hey, nothing to stop you illegally downloading them to check

Just ask yourself why no bonus disc if they have been able to get all of the films! If you had access to the blu ray early, which would you grab, complete saga or one if the trilogies. Damn, people are so easily sucked in these days.

Yeah, really good! What he said, and also state that ALL THE MOVIES ARE 2011 versions, with even more enhancements.....somewhere and in BOLD.

Thanks for the effort! That will make things a lot easier.

Me too! Sith is the MOST emotional of the entire SAGA in my book. By far!

I love the whole Saga though.

I really don't get the hate for AOTC, it's very close to being my favorite, but I don't want to choose, as they are one story, broken into 6 parts.

It's the film I'm most looking forward to on Blu-Ray. Not only for the Yoda change, but also the much improved picture over the DVD.

I'm just glad they not only restored the 8% missing picture, but also fixing things like Fode & Beed's hand going into his chest.
Did you ever notice that? I sure as heck fire never did.

Indeed. Just look at the posted screencaps. None of them are from stuff that was confirmed as "Fixed".

It's 2004 all over again, when supposed rips of them hit. And turned out to be balderdash.

People seem to forget about the bad dialogue and acting in the OT. I'm not saying it was as bad as the prequels, but it was still bad. I love how most people ignore how Luke is almost constantly whining and complaining through at least the first two movies. There are parts where I'd like to slap him.

I know it's sacrilege to say anything negative about the OT, but none of the movies are perfect. Still, Star Wars is my favorite film series.
I'm with you there Ozzsoad,

The OT has bad acting too, specially A New Hope. I really admire George Lucas for having the vision and the determination he did to finish Star Wars, he can create some very cerebral work (as in THX 1138), and he is a very visual director; but he just isn't a good actors director -- the timing is just off in the episodes he directed. The one movie (out of the six) that has good acting, in my opinion, is The Empire Strikes back, thanks to Irvin Kershner.
Having said that; they are good movies that have bad acting, remember that George Lucas never intended them to be anything more than an homage to old serial advures and he wanted to make an impression on a younger audience. Star Wars is George Lucas' love letter to that genre.

I agree about hadyen for episode 2. he was just terrible. he did a much better job in episode 3. still a few moment that were terrible. however you know you are in serious trouble when the animated version of anakin is a better character. a least you do care about the animated one. that is true for me. I dont know about anyone else. I am talking about the star wars: the clone wars series.

I hate to be talking about this on here, but these are real. CHD is a legit group, who always has early releases. Trust me. You can not believe all you want, but they would not put out fake releases.

Until the reviews start to come out for the blu-ray box set and the release date gets here and we see actual real screenshot's of the blu-rays. Anything else is all speculation at this point.

in fact that are still in the process of waiting for them to confirm one way or the other-

I think you hit the wrong autopost macro. Nobody is currently speculating about the contents of the box set.

CHD as a group aren't rabid Star Wars fans and most likely don't care about these fixes - they are a BluRay release group. In a short time when these rips are spread you'll see shots of the fixes.

I'd say the performance of anyone in the saga is Obi Wan in ANH. And Han is at his best there too. He was never the same in the sequels.

groups that post these don't really care about the changes-

they aren't like us sitting around waiting for the star wars blu-rays-

they get the blu-rays, re-encode them, maybe make screen samples, and upload them...

True. Harrison Ford is a good actor, he has a good understanding of how he looks on camera and how his delivery registers. Sir Alec Guinness was a great actor; these two didn't need any direction.

These didn't use the HDTV broadcasts to produce these but instead they used the actual 1080p files that were given to TV stations for transmission. They were clearer than any of the HD broadcasts as they had a higher bitrate. They also didn't have burned in subtitles as the stations added these. ROTJ, when transmitted on SKYHD was missing the subtitles completely for their first transmission run. So there is a chance that these aren't the genuine article, which would be strange coming from a group like CHD . But if they are genuine then doesn't this disprove what LFL have been saying about re-colour timing these films?
Thanks Adywan, suspected they were fake, but hard to get THAT level of techical knowledge as to why. But get ready to be shot down by Jack Sparrow
