Relax people, let someone get their hands on it legitimately before we kick up a storm. Didn't LOTR EE teach you anything.
it taught me that either peter jackson has also lost it or he is just a hack-

PJ hiring Andy Serkis to do second unit filming on the hobbit absolutely confirmed my learnings.

A lot of folks have seen this 200, 300 times over the past few decades. Any little change is pretty easy to spot in that scenario -- audio or video.

The first rips that came out yesterday were 720p. These pictures are direct captures from the samples of those rips. The 1080p rip has the same problems. If you don't believe me download the samples and see for yourself. They are back around page 1120. Don't call me a liar without doing research.

With your permission, I'll go and study animal physiology and biochem. I'm totally disappointed with Star Wars and George Lucas today

It's so far back in the mix they might as well have been whispering it. And they still haven't taken those damn X-wing sound effects from the Falcon vs TIE battle as they escape the death Star. This was an error created in 1997 and never sorted. Yeh, the dialogue is clearer and seems to mix together between alternate audio takes, unlike the 2004 mix and the surround swapping for the music seems to have been fixed in the rear channels also but sometimes the sound effects just seem to drown everything out.

Oh , and only that 1 shot that features lightsabers has been altered throughout the whole movie. Obi-Wan still gets his purple lightsabre in some shots and the sabre still goes out and the sabre aboard the falcon alternates between green and blue. Instead of adding damn rocks in front of R2, maybe they should have spent the time to fix these issues?

An earlier preview from the Blu-ray showed that scene. The fanfare music was back.

Just cancelled my January 7th Amazon Prime order. Reason Other: 3 years to release a half-assed product and ruining Return of the Jedi.

The 1080p picture quality however, colour problems aside, is very good. Detail is very high with a noticeable amount of fine grain. So at least they didn't "Predatorise" these movies

I'm already pissed..... How did R2 get behind those rocks? He slide em out or something? I think the only thing they did not assault us with was DNR. But let's not give em any ideas.

Remember all 6 films have been broadcast on FX in 720p. It would be easy for a fan to manipulate these films and post a hoax.

Anyone know if Van Ling was part of the Blu-ray project for this?

I refuse to believe that's real. All we need to find out is where that really comes from. Probably one of those straight-to-dvd american pie films. IDK. But there is no way they could had that in the editing room and not laughed.

There's an opening to the side. It's the same sorta question of how he gets down the steps in Docking Day 94.

He even comes from the wrong angle into the scene from where the steps were located. Maybe his rockets still work a bit?

Has anyone double-checked the rips against these shots offered for comparison at the official site? I'm specifically referring to the opening of the frame in TPM (which should be near impossible to recreate) and the missing starfields from Episode IV.
