He probably just made a mistake. Even if he truly didn't know who the torturer was, it doesn't invalidate his points about the ridiculous audio/dialogue changes.

Thumbs down Thinking of CANCELING your Pre-Order?

Thinking of canceling your Pre-Order after all the "So-Called Alterations" and "Video Corrections"? Anyone? Anyone?

I am so proud to have made THIS thread, and have had my Pre-Order since JANUARY... but I for one am really disappointed in seeing someone take something that WORKED for over 30 YEARS and now try to "Sync" it with three prequels, just to get a solid story told in six episodes is just CRAZY!

Maybe we should all just sit-back, wait, and see what REALLY doesn't hit the NEW cutting-room-digital-floor. I have a feeling that many may cancel their orders just to hear from others what was newly added or adjusted, and then from there see if they are willing to fork over $90+ for a Box Set that can possible disappoint an entire generation of fans.

I for one am thinking of doing just this... maybe I'll continue my pre-order, view the "Changes" and decide from there if I really want to keep this Box Set

Star Wars is finally coming to Blu-ray with the Star Wars: The Complete Saga boxed set, which means that there are more awesome digital alterations and changes that wholeheartedly improve every movie! (They don’t). We previously told you that George Lucas has replaced the puppet Yoda in The Phantom Menace with the CGI one seen in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, and now comes word that The Almighty Tinkerer has made two horrible, audio alterations to the films. Hit the jump to find out what they are and to watch them for yourself.

Apparently Lucas has added Darth Vader’s laughable “NOOOOOOO!!” from Revenge of the Sith to Return of the Jedi. I know, it sounds too ridiculous to believe, but Badass Digest has apparently received confirmation that this is true, proving that Lucas is indeed insane.

Another change that’s a bit less likely and still unconfirmed is an alteration to Obi-Wan’s Krayt Dragon Call from A New Hope. This one’s still a rumor for now, so take it with a grain of salt.

Here are the clips (Thanks to Collider reader Carl):

NOTE: These aren’t from the actual Blu-rays, but have the leaked audio clips synced up with the existing videos
BTW : The DARTH VADER "NOOOOOO" (supposed) addition to ROTJ is... TRULY TERRIBLE. The less said at that moment by VADER the better.

Having DARTH VADER say anything makes DARTH VADER less of a SITH

Shame on you LUCAS if this is true.

EVERYONE KNOWS... CORRECTIONS IS ONE THING... ALTERATIONS IS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THING

I do recall reading that about the deleted scenes. Bill Hunt said this about changes:

"George has apparently added a few new "surprises" into these films. I don't know what they are and didn't get to see any of them on Friday, but I was assured that there will be "new things to notice" when we watch the films."

Thats just Beast dodging around the actual point in discussion by grasping at whatever straw he can find. All his argumentative posts are like this.

Anyway agreed, I don't care if he said Barney was tortering him his point remains. The change is laughably bad and ruins one of the greatest moments in cinematic history.

Nope. Only thing they were asked to not talk about was the Deleted Scenes.

Are you kidding me? One of the greatest moments of cinematic history?! People are bi-polar when it comes to the Jedi, I hear from people on this thread, "Oh, Star Wars and Empire were great, but then George went crazy in 83". People have been discrediting Jedi for Years! And now it's one of the greatest moments in cinematic history? The movie with Ewoks, singing aliens, blue elephant man, and egg-headed Vader. This is ridiculous.

Nope. I'm just pointiing out that if you're gonna complain about something, have the decency to know what you're talking about.

Chud has always been a shoddy and laughable website. So it's no surprise that once again they've dropped the ball.

I think today's news was too much for a certain poster known for his optimism. Hope we hear from him soon.

I actually think the "no....NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" works because there's no "big no" in ROTJ.

You do realize that different people have different opinions, and the people that believe the former might not be the same people that believe the latter, right?

Or are all the those inscessent "bashers" actually some kind of Borg?

I personally think 'Jedi' is the weakest story of the originals, but I love the Emperor/Vader/Luke scenes more than almost anything in the original trilogy. If they really added the "no"s, I think it's a tragic change to one of the most iconic scenes from all of the movies.

I feel that Jedi is a flawed film and I was let down by it in 1983. Many would disagree with me and I can respect that. For me, the OT is 2 1/3 good films but I can still sit and watch Jedi because it has the characters we came to care about back then. The only parts I really like are the space battle and of course, the Luke/Vader/Emperor scenes. Those scenes are the conclusion to the whole series. Originally, the closing of the trilogy and now the closing of the six film series. This audio change really does damage to a great conclusion with this laughably stupid change.

I will admit I am speaking in hyperbole due to my feelings on the matter but what you are saying is not true at all. People didn't discredit Lucas until the Prequels (which I love mostly) came out. Jedi was still regarded as a great film just not as good as the other two. The end battle sequence was hands down the most cutting edge effects around.

What made the scene at hand so great was the that he was questioning everything he has done in terms of good and evil. He makes a descision to save his son completing his arc. All this is done and felt through focusing on the helplessness of Luke and the Evil of the emperor. That coupled with the music and Vader's history is what makes the scene one of the greatest scnes of all time.

Jedi is indeed the weakest of the OT but the Final confrontation was pure gold whether you consider it all time worthy or not and is now comedy.
