Citizen Kane isn't as good as The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

Nope.

Probably because, as you say, Creator implies God.

Just as capitalizing He or Him does.

He can feel free to Capitalize Every Word In His Sentence If He So Chooses, But It's Still Technically Incorrect.

Yep.

I'm sure he calls his Lawyer, and his Doctor, and hires a Gardener, and gets his meat from the Butcher. (not)

Well, the problem with your "opinion" on this is that you are just making up random signs of respect that are not known or recognized by anyone but you, and then you act all high and mighty about it when other people don't understand why you are doing it, as if they are nuts for not understanding your meaning with no previous explanation.

I guess form now on in response to other people's posts, if I end it with the phrase "Goat Barf" as a sign of respect for them, it should be clearly and obviously understood by way of the fact that not only are both words capitalized, but they are also bolded, italicized, AND underlined! How can anyone NOT understand that from the get go?!

Anyway, enough about this nonsense. Let's get back to b****ing about Vader yelling "NOoooooOOOoooo!"

Smile Am I the only one who is happy here??

Hey folks,

This has been a fascinating discussion on this thread, hats off the the fellow who started it! I have a great amount of respect for all of you and your unique takes on this upcoming release. Bottom line for me, I am just excited to finally own Star Wars on Blu-Ray. I definitely understand all of your points of view, you all make good points as to why these changes should or shouldn't be there. All I know is that this world is tough enough, lets just have some fun with a good movie series on the best format currently available.

Cheers friends,
elliotroad

There's plenty I enjoy. You can look at my Blu collection for some of them.

Serenity was everything the PT wasn't. A great story, with interesting characters, fantastic acting and top notch writing/directing. I can actually say that for the entire Firefly series.
Meh. I'll half agree with you. Firely was good. Serenity was terrible.
Took everything good about the series and flushed it. Meh.

And Nolan's films? Yeah, just nevermind, i forgot, it's pointless to argue with you. If you think Whedon or Nolan are terrible filmmakers, there is no accounting for taste with you.
I said overrated and/or terrible. Only thing I've liked from Whedon is Firefly.
His contribution to Alien Resurrection and the X-Men Franchise was downright terrible.

As for Nolan? Only thing he ever made that I actually liked was Memento.

Jesus Christ! This board is hard enough to follow and find information on the STAR WARS BLU-RAYS as it is and now you guys are just LITTERING it and taking up space with asinine arguing over grammatical correctness.

GROW UP! MOVE ON!

I agree, that's why I'm enjoying watching my Star Wars LDs. That's the best format currently available, as far as I'm concerned.

"There will only be one. And it won't be what I would call the 'rough cut,' it'll be the 'final cut.' The other one will be some sort of interesting artifact that people will look at and say, 'There was an earlier draft of this.' The same thing happens with plays and earlier drafts of books. In essence, films never get finished, they get abandoned. At some point, you're dragged off the picture kicking and screaming while somebody says, 'Okay, it's done.' That isn't really the way it should work. Occasionally, [you can] go back and get your cut of the video out there, which I did on both American Graffiti and THX-1138; that's the place where it will live forever. So what ends up being important in my mind is what the DVD version is going to look like, because that's what everybody is going to remember. The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won't last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you'll be able to project it on a 20' by 40' screen with perfect quality. I think it's the director's prerogative, not the studio's to go back and reinvent a movie."

Well, he basically screwed up that mission considering that this is now the 4th revision of the movies. And likely not the last (I wouldn't be surprised to see even more things tweaked for the 3D releases). Maybe he should at least finally make all of the changes that he absolutely wants to make, and be done with it.
