You know, I'm very, very interested in the Episode III section of the Archives because, as anyone who has the Episode III DVD knows, they left a lot of behind the scenes footage on the table.

"Within A Minute" was an interesting documentary but it didn't measure up to the previous two documentaries on the Prequels. Plus, the featurettes were a tad lacking.

I'm very curious to see more behind the scenes footage of that film. That trailer hinted at more.

I gotta be honest... I think everyone hating on what they haven't actually seen yet is pretty retarded.

This is how society works now. We have become so impatient and that we can't wait to have an opinion about everything that we actually form opinions before viewing the content. It's ridiculous. I reckon the vast majority of people won't mind the change when they finally purchase it...and you will. Don't lie to yourself. At some point, you'll break down and buy it.

The fanboys get whipped up again because ILM lied, they haven't changed every hair on chewbacca like they said, but then it turns out they haven't lied, the release is perfection, George appears on the Today programme and raises his right hand middle digit to camera and begins laughing. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! That would be priceless.
Where can you see the MF guys talk about the isos not being the finals?

LOL, can always rely on Indy to take the quote out of context.

BIG assumption on the leakers as well. Why stop at the OT, why not release the bonus disc then as that is what most people are NOW interested in?

Controlled leak???

merlinpants,

Yeah, where did you see the ISO files comment? That's an interesting detail not being reported.

Well I read sometime, somewhere that record labels sometimes publish albums on P2P in low quality, for free marketing and to increase the value of the CD (which of course sounds a lot better). It is possible something like that is pulled of here. Sure hope so . There aren't that many changes reported so far, it isn't like the 2004 version (if only they got their priorities straight and finally fixed the lightsabers..)

Oh wel price dropped for my Amazon UK order so I think that "It is useless to resist" sums up my feelings

Well, leaking before getting cinavia is a word from the scene. They indeed mentioned that these are not ripped from the discs.

and: Evidently these are not actual retail BD ISOs. These are NOT ripped from the discs. Actual BDs' have Cinavia protection which is missing here. Chinese must have leaked these before discs were burned.

But the scene already has the actual retail discs and they are working to broke the protection. Estimation is something like 2-3 weeks.

No idea what they are talking about, don't read anything into it, as I said, I didn't believe what I said to be true Please DON'T start using this as false hope, it is likely they used the source file prior to burning discs. I am 100% confident the leaks are the finished product, lets not use this piece of information to start another 100 pages of pointless 'You don't know you haven't seen it yet' arguments. The comment I made (you know, caveated with I DON'T BELIEVE THIS TO BE TRUE) was in jest!!!

What haven't we seen? The rips are all over the internet.

I'll be canceling my order today. It's just not worth it anymore.

It will be the first time EVER that I didn't get a Star Wars set the day it came out. Hell, I even paid a premium to get the DVD set about a month before it came out.

Well thats not true at all, not everyone who defends George Lucas is a prequel fan. I may be a prequel fan myself, but I care just as much about seeing the OT.

Maybe those defending Lucas may actually have just gotten over the changes? seriously, I know the whole "nooooo" thing is retarded, but there are worse things out there, and worse things have happened in the past i.e. Greedo and Jedi rocks. Those were pretty bad, but at least those on the defence are showing maturity about it. I'm not aiming that at you, I'm just saying that alot of the backlash is from people who simply can't handle the changes. I'm hoping one day Lucas will decide to release the UOT along with the special editions, and as I said before I'm looking forward to all the SW films on Blu.

Interesting. The rips not from the discs, only now they have retail discs now, will take 2-3 weeks to crack the protection code? If this is true, the plot thickens and might have a twist. Time will tell.

By the way, showed the NO clip my colleague today, he likes the movies seen them a few times but wouldn't call himself a fan. His words: "It actually make that scene more powerful to me." That's his opinion, not mine. I'm indifferent, I'm more concerned about the PQ/AQ.

Thats the one!

But it begs the question why they would then feel the need to release the disc rips if the actual file out there now is the best quality copy. It suggests (and only suggests) that the PQ on the blu ray might edge the current rips somewhat, and one can assume the ISO files will come in at 40+ GB.

Actually, no, they're not. We have file sizes.

Star Wars: Episode VI = 37.84 GB

Does anyone really think Lucasfilm are clever enough to 'stage' this leak and then surprise us all with something better upon release date? Ha.. I doubt it.

The leaks of the OT seem pretty final to me. The leak of Emprie is actually a German copy which has DTS MA 5.1. Even the youtube video just posted is promoting the German DTS MA 5.1 for Germany.

Those clips of TPM look really great in that trailer - look at Darth Maul pulling down his hood.

The 1080p HDTV version is the same. Maybe they did need a new transfer after all.

Seriously????

You are by far and away the most baiting person I have ever come across. 40+ GB, and you report 38. Honestly, take some chill pills or something, you are going to keel over in the next couple of years at this rate.

How the world has changed that people freely discuss and have knowledge of pirate copies of a film, once you would hide in terror for the knock at the door because you had a bootleg VHS in your cupboard. Is anything really illiegal anymore, does anyone really suffer the consequences of their actions? Give it 10 years and the movie business will be gone.

I'm sorry but why you're so sure the email was fake? He even posted a screenshot of the email. I don't think Lucasfilm would reply to every email (must be hundreds if not thousands), they just randomly pick one, and Ken just happen to be that lucky fan. The reply from Lucasfilm does not contradict what has been reported from the press previews and the restoration article on starwars.com. So it's Lucasfilm that is giving false information (if the rips are real, not that I really doubt it though), not Ken.

EDIT: I haven't posted in this thread for a while too because I was trying to catch up with almost 100 pages of posts in 24 hours until I finally gave up. Guess I've lost my position as top 20 contributor of this thread.
