Very nice! I love the ending to TPM. How it echos the end of ANH. Now if only we could get confirmation of "Fake Windu's" replacement.

One of my friends in college had never seen Star Wars. We sat her down and watched them over a few weekends. I still loved her reaction when Darth told Luke he was his father. As a fan, it was a great thing to see a first timer who's not a kid watch and react.

Do those tend to get the same kind of cable time the OT does? I don't watch Spike all that much so I don't really pay much attention to their schedule.

I don't think the starting movement is weird at all; it looks just like it always did. As for the rest, does anyone else think some alternate recordings of Frank Oz may have been used for the new version? Some of the lines have a slightly different pitch than what I remember. It's not a bad thing at all, just something I noticed.

So, I watched my 1993 laserdiscs this weekend. The shots of Luke's saber on the Falcon that are green on the DVDs: well, they're green on the laserdisc, too. There's also one shot of Ben's saber during his fight with Vader where his saber is green. And in Empire, The last shot of Luke's saber after he cuts off the Wampa's arm: green.

Just sayin.

well this is my first comment on this but I thought I would post after showing my friend the new footage from ROTJ with Vader.

I'd like to start by saying I'm still buying it and while I hate the Vader change I can uncomfortably live with it.

What I wanted to get into is when I showed my friend the scene from ROTJ he just laughed and thought it was a fan edit. This is a guy who has never seen all of star wars (he isnt a fantasy/sci-fi fan) He will get the whole saga on the 16th he is coming over for it.

Damn you George you take a classic scene and make it laughable by someone who has never even expienced the whole Saga it says alot

I would love to have seen her reaction. I mean, like someone posted before, for those of you who saw ESB in the theatre, you had a long wait to see if it was true or not.

Come to think about it, without the PT, you can still argue the validity of that revelation.

The Yoda footage with obi-wan ..... That initial walk he does is the same CG effects shot from 1999. Only when he's stationary was he the puppet.

I would say that he never saw the saga is the explanation why he found it funny and not the addition of the NOOO. Out of context it might as well be funny that a black robot-man throws an old guy down big well...

In some ways the PT makes it harder to believe

He may not have seen it but he pretty much knows the details when you have a best friend who is a Star Wars geek it gets talked about

I also showed him the original scene on youtube and it says its much better. His words "you can read Vaders mind and see his emotions without a ridiculous noooo being involved"

Who would have thought maybe people newer to the saga aren't dumb

LOL, a funny thing happened to me when I showed my friend footage on YouTube from independence day. He thought we had been invaded by aliens and shat himself. Damn you Hollywood, why do you make these stories so believable about showing things to my friends to troll a reaction?

Don't forget that in "Empire of Dreams", James Earl Jones' first reaction to that line was, "He's lying".
