WOW this thread has turned into one big fest whic at times is amusing but mostly annoying. I can't wait for next Friday I am going to pick up my set and start enjoying the movies and special features changes and all. I just want to see how these look on blu and the special features seem extensive and interesting. This is going to be a great next few months for blus

I think you need to look at ALL 6 pics. The detail on the blu ray is MUCH better

Now why would you want to watch these movies on blu-ray,when you could be on here moaning about them?

Technically, Han doesn't say "I have a bad feeling about this" He says "I got a bad feeling about this", so the slide answer is actually wrong.

Intentional, or not?

You decide

Most of the time the picture is filled with detail. The amount of detail is incredible. Everything is so crisp, yet it looks smooth at the same time. Kinda like Episode II + III. I guess that was Lucas' intention with this new transfer. The filmgrain is almost completely gone and the screenshots look kind odd, but don't be fooled by them. The movie looks so much better in motion. It plays in a whole different league. The Tattooine scenes are not as sharp as the rest of the film. The color has been re-timed as well. It looks much more natural and the annoying red/pink tint from the DVD is finally gone. I like its new look very much. TPM has never looked better. Period. Then on to the sound. It's phenomenal. Reference in every regard! The pod race sounds so sick. The same goes for the spaceship battles, the battledroid scene and the lightsaber fights. Dialogue is crystal clear and sounds very natural. The few changes I noticed were executed very well. Overall, this is an amazing presentation of the film. Very happy with it. Can't wait to get the Blu-ray next Friday and enjoy the entire movie!

Very nice to hear

Which region set have you seen?

I think 3PO is moving in that shot. Remember, he keeps turning around looking for R2, so I think it's just motion blur.

I couldn't agree more. When LOTR was released on Blu-Ray (the first time), tons of people gave it 1-star reviews because it wasn't the extended versions. Amazon ratings/reviews are pretty much meaningless to me.

Indeed legions of netcitizens whom dont even have the movies have already pre-judged and made it a hate filled review list.....If people read the reviews and saw the dates they would see that the reviews are pointless its the best selling worst rated item eveerrrrr lmao!!!!!!!!!

All reviews are meaningless unless they agree with your POV.

Maybe the slidemaker also did the "converstion" with the masters slide.

I agree. They are more often popularity contests than anything. You really have to sift though a lot of crap to find balanced critical opinions in there.

As an UOT fanboy, I will not be buying this set, but I hope all of you that are enjoy what you receive. I look forward to the never-ending posts of outrage and hatred that are sure to ensue (regardless of how well or poor it all turns out).

Doesn't the way the lightsaber is 'heating up' at the very beginning kinda cool?

click ahead there is 6 pics. And they all show much more detail on the blu ray screenshots the 6th one is the one that really showcases how superior the blu ray edition is over the DVD edition of SW
