Why isn't he burned and in Vader-Armor in spirit form? Anakin died at the end of Episode 3 and was trapped inside the Vader-persona.

Is this thread exclusively for praising the blu-ray release with no tolerance for negative comments about the release?

May have been noted elsewhere but a couple of changes I noticed in Episode I tonight.

When the Naboo clan arrive at Coruscant and Anakin goes off with JarJar as Qui-Gon stops to discuss his findings, I swear there was never a snippet where Anakin and Jar Jar actually are seen boarding a pod to be flown away. The dialogue was always there, but not an actual visual of them boarding? Can anyone confirm this as didn't check the DVD.

Also when they're leaving Coruscant to go back to Naboo and Jar Jar cries "Weesa going home!" and Anakin says "come on R2" I am certain R2 used to actually make a noise of acknowledgement. That has now been taken out! Why??

The scene with the Air Taxi was added to the DVD release, so it's not new to this edition.

And I don't recall R2 making a noise in the second scene. Ok, just checked.. he did make a sound. Hmmm, funny they dropped it.

Original:

It's likely just a slightly different sound mix they used for that scene. The loss of the whistle doesn't really bug me.

Not at all, I am commenting on his comments specifically, you must be a regular poster at OT as well LOL, what is your nickname there I wonder?

I can read good points and bad points, but when they get to the extreme, well that is when it just gets flat out ridiculous.

Well, at least two thirds of this thread (and likely more) has been filled with insults, bashing, and general negativity. There's a lot of users here, who've probably had more than enough by now.

Am I missing something from the movies? How is Young Anakin any more recognizable to Luke than Old Anakin? I'd imagine the Shaw version would be more recognizable to Luke since he did see Vader unmasked albeit scarred and bald. Even so, I'm sure Luke isn't dumb as a rock to not realize who the third Jedi spirit is. And also why wouldn't Yoda and Obi-Wan know it's Anakin? Since the movies show that they have very sharp senses. Even Vader felt Obi-Wan's presence without seeing him in A New Hope.

So the review is up and yet not one of the controversial screen grabs are featured? (read: lightsaber training scene on the Falcon)

Nearly all of the flaws pointed out in this video are still in the BD:
Star Wars: COLOR COMPARISON - Theatrical vs. 2004 DVD - YouTube

I doubt this is the fault of the transfer. This is the way George wants them to look.
I still think I prefer the movies in 1080p,and after owning the laserdiscs I was never that impressed with them.

Also I feel the youtube video makes things look far worse than they are in reality,I mean blue snow is not that bad,it's yellow snow you have to be worried about

I would barely call it controversial. Sitting up close to the TV, it appears that the Lightsaber is always glowing with a white/teal core, and the blue is only present when the weapon is shook around fast.

Don't trust the screen caps and videos - just wait till you get the Blu-ray. That goes for all the films though, they look miles better on disc than those leaded videos.

This debate is a lost cause dude. Certain people will go to literally any length to convince people (and themselves) that the changes make more sense, are improvements, etc. no matter how illogical they are.

I agree though, and no, you aren't missing anything from the movies.
