So close! (I'm in south Texas)

For newbies, the order SHOULD be 4-6 and then 1-3. I don't think that the PT will hold anybody's attention as much as the OT. I keep finding it amusing that people still think the PT will hold people's attention with a lack of a good (and simple) story to follow with likable characters. Just yesterday I was watching Our Hospitality, and for being a 1923 film (!), I was glued from beginning to end to my TV screen. With the PT? Well, let's say that doesn't happen (even after considering that we watch them as 'repeat viewings').

No one argues that there are great things about the PT, but not enough to rival the OT.

From a kids perspective, ep 1 is pretty simple.
They love the action, the Jedi are super cool and Jar Jar is very funny (my 8 year old still loves Jar Jar the best). In fact, my 8 year old wants to see ep 1 more than any since it is the most kid friendly (when we watch it I edit where Quigon dies).

Kids have no problems getting the PT. It's the adults that have the issues with it.
I think that's why the kids really only care about the action/Jar Jar's fart and poop jokes/pod races/etc. The fact that there really is no story to digest, all that's left are the superficial elements of the movie.

And my ratings of the saga:

Star Wars: A
The Empire Strikes Back: A+
Return of the Jedi: B+

The Phantom Menace: D-
Attack of the Clones: F
Revenge of the Sith: D+

There are rumors that the Prequel dvd deleted scenes are easter eggs but that has not been confirmed YET.

Forgive me if its already been discussed, but when Lucas first announced the BD's he said that they would include the 1997 and 2004 releases. What happened to that deal?

Another great review of the Complete Saga set:

The reviewer also says that this will be the last time you will have to pay for these movies unless the OOT gets greenlit for Blu.

I don't remember that. Maybe he was just referring to the fact that this release is based on the Special Editions that were previously available in 1997 and 2004? I would really be surprised if they ever planned on including those two version since there are such minor differences between them and the current versions.

Sith the worst? I've noticed that from a few of you. What the hell movie have I been watching all these years? It's easily the best of the prequels and I'd rank it at least as highly as the worst of the OT.

TPM 70/100 (movie sucks except the pod race and duel of the fates)
AoTC 85/100
ROTS 90/100
Star Wars 95/100
ESB 100/100 (my personal favorite)
ROTJ 90/100 (would have been higher if Boba Fett wasn't such a pu$$y.....)

Overall rating a 88.3/100 (mathematical average). The series would have received a higher score but the OT was brought down by the PT.

Apologies if this has already been posted, but this has to be the most perfect publicity stunt for the Saga's blu-ray release:

Well the problem with returning it is that they might not ship a replacement so soon as they probably will have limited stock cause of all the pre-orders..

Well, if the reviewer said that the sky is plaid, it wouldn't make it true.

Some people may buy this again (even without the OOT) if Lucas makes more changes for the 3D versions, and corrects the remaining color timing and lightsaber fx issues, and releases those on BD.

Of course, I am hoping for the OOT at some point, but I would also like to see his updated versions handled properly in regards to the issues that still remain with them.

Do you really think anyone will sell out of these? Do you remember the 2004 release? They had TONS of stock, they will not run out of these either.....

Lucas maybe an idiot when it comes to his movies, but a salesperson he is.....
