I watched Empire of Dreams a few nights ago. I can't believe that George was so unhappy with the SFX. He fired John Dykstra after ANH was completed and then John gets an Oscar for his work in the film. Crazy.

It truly was a collaborative effort to get that first film made. I think George's issue is that he didn't have complete control over that film and it's driven him crazy. Yes, the creatures in the cantina look like they came from a bad costume shop, but I think that's part of the charm. Which creatures did he replace for the special edition?

Yeah, just this morning I ordered a Saga for myself and an Original Trilogy for my dad, and it slotted to "Shipping Soon" almost immediately.

Looks like Target and Wally World will both have the complete saga for $79.99, Wally World is the one that should be open at midnight.

He replaced one creature in the Cantina scene with two more.

There was a random werewolf in the original version. George replaced the initial shot of it with some kind of hippie alien. The 2nd shot was when an worm like creature goes up the the werewolf to talk, and it scares the worm off. That shot of the werewolf was replaced by some elephant like alien.

Well mine finally went to shipping soon about a hour ago, now it says shipped and best part is they are shipping via on trac so if iam not home when the driver attempts to deliver it, he will call me up and bring it where i am at that time. (most likely work just a few streets over)
awesome! i was afraid with the one day shipping they might use Fed ex or UPS and then if i wasnt there when they arrived they would just leave a we missed you note and i would be out of luck till monday.

Theres a chance i might even have this before the end of the day today!

Yes tomorrow should hopefully be at least 70% impressions which will increase which each sucessive day. Bury the where is it posts.

Turns out that it was Jango Fett that was badass. He assassinated a snitch, killed a Jedi Knight at the arena, and fought Obi-wan to a standstill. It took Mace Windu and a gigantic CGI beast to bring down Jango.

Bobba is just his disappointing, underachieving son. A total failure living off his father's fame. Died such an ignominious death. With a name like "Bobba", I guess we shouldn't be surprised.
