Just finished watching Episode I. Looked fantastic. Takes me back to the summer of '99 and all the hype.

I know I will get a ton of heat for saying this, but Episode I is a great film. Maybe Jar Jar and Jake were annoying, but there are far greater things going on. The final lightsaber battle with Obi, Qui and Maul just might be one of the best in the entire saga. The pod race was great. Mace Windu. Yaddle...okay so her role was only off to the side on the Jedi council, but still cool to see another Yoda species. There are some excellent action scenes in general.

I may be in the minority here, but I will defend Episode I.

Try playing another blu. Or try shutting Down your player and try it again once it cools off a bit. Good luck!

I'll agree with you. TPM is far better then most give it credit for. Not the best of the series, but I'd rather watch it then loads of other stuff out there. Wish Jar Jar wasn't a part of it though.

Episode I is a good movie (I say it's almost as good as Return of the Jedi), but its biggest issue is that it was such a letdown from the brilliance of ANH and ESB.

Episode I is too flawed to be called a "great movie", but I like it quite a bit and it has many great Star Wars moments.

I'm with you, too!

Oddly enough, my biggest quibble with E1 used to be that Yoda didn't look quite right - but at least that's been fixed now!

That's the good news.

The bad news is Jedi was terrible

I just finished watching TPM, and I noticed a change that I haven't heard about yet. When Queen Amidala calls for a vote of no confidence, originally everyone said "vote now! vote now!", now they just start mumbling and talking to each other.

I have never seen a blu-ray that is both mildly soft, yet very detailed like this one before. It seems like an oxymoron, but none the less, that's how it seemed to me. I put on the DVD right after watching it, and it amazed me how terrible it was by comparison.

The audio on this is one of the best I've ever heard. The LFE is crazy powerful(in a good way), it also has some of the best surround imaging that I've ever heard. I have a 7.2 setup, and I usually prefer 7.1 audio, but the seperation between the left, right, and rear surrounds was breathtaking. I absolutely can't wait to watch(and hear) the other ones.

I find it funny that so many Star Wars "fans" only really like 3 of the 6 films (eps II, IV and V)... 50% isn't a very good average.

Almost 20 pages of posting since this morning!!!!!!!

What the heck are you guys doing posting so much? Not watching the movies?

So started at 9 am and I did a good run on the special features, there is quite a lot to see. I took a small break about 50 minutes ago and went for a walk and just got back in. It's now time for the movies. Like I said before, I will start with A New Hope since I am really curious to see it first and slowly make my way down the series.

I hope everyone is having as much fun as I am?

Eh, it's not that bad. I'm sure he did the best he could and let's be fair...the good ones were really good.

Apocalypse Now looks pretty damn great. Live and Let Die has a pretty amazing transfer. The new Aliens transfer was nice too. Maybe I was exaggerating by saying 10 times, but I have 20/20 vision and my eyes don't lie. Shoot, several episodes of the original Star Trek TV show look better to my eyes. I have an 8 foot screen. A calibrated projector. It's not very forgiving. These films look average, and it's not like I was going out of my way to find fault...All I said was that i was disappointed. How is that CRYING?

OH! I had that happen to my center channel JUST 1 MONTH BEFORE "Star Wars Day" one year! Had to scramble to get the one I currently have because it was being held at my place for the first time with my new equipment! That last line of Athena speakers really sucked. At least my bookshelves are solid.

Am too excited that the sound is so clean that I can turn my sound up TO THE MAX with absolutely no distortion! The pod race is sounding AWESOME!!!!!! However, I'm amazed, that with all the complaints about lightsaber changes and what-not, nobody has mentioned that Sebulba is STILL missing from his seat at the end of the race!

For everyone that has it now, is it worth $80? I'm feeling a slight anxious that I cancelled my Amazon order, but overall I'm doing OK.

You may be asking the wrong person when asking me but it is worth the $80 and more. I am enjoying this set like a kid playing with his first Star Wars toy
