I like Episode I as well.... in fact I like all 6 films equally.... Although I could care less for Jar Jar, but I just try not to let him ruin the films for me! I picked mine up today this is the most amazing blu-ray set I have ever owned! The films are packaged beautifully! Couldn't be happier! Yea it would have been nice to have the unaltered trilogy on there in some form even as a bonus feature, (when am I ever going to watch ALL 40 hours of the bonus content on there?) they could have left 6 hours out and put the originals on there as bonus. I don't even care if they were in SD because I am going to watch the special editions more often because they do flow better with the prequels in terms of the entire saga. Lets hope we can get blu-rays of the Ewok adventures now!

Wouldn't surprise me at all if Lucas changes his mind again in 10-15 years or so.

No, he's not perfect. Chances are, you wouldn't be, either, as a filmmaker.
The problem wasn't the talent ratio going down to 50%; the problem was the "yes-men" ratio going up to 100%. Lucas doesn't have anyone around anymore who is willing to tell him that some of his half-baked ideas are bad.

I wish he would allow other upcoming directors to make episodes 7-8-9 while he stayed on as executive producer. I'm sure people would still go, and it would keep the saga fresh.

I didn't know about the shirt when I picked up the set after ordering online. The clerk said the offer still applied so I took one home.

But the wife won't let me wear it on our anniversary date tomorrow night.

I will be ... I think.

I just got a new AVR and it's 7.1 and my kids are watching Fantasia 2000 on it for now. When they retire this evening, I'll dig into the Star Wars. I assume the AVR knows to send both rear channels the same information and as a result... I guess I'll be watching in 6.1 (with a 7.1 set of speakers.)

I just saw the part of Fantasia 2000 with the intoduction by James Earl Jones and I got all excited for later.... Sounds Soooooo Gooood!!!

Does getting rid of your soul give you access to all of his talents or does it just make you write like him?

:rimshot:

Thank you, I'll be here all week...

Yes!

I actually found speakers at the dump but they match perfectly with the rest of my system.

But that's just being an apologist. How many other film series get such leeway? Indiana Jones only had 2 great films of the 4 as well (Raiders and Temple), and that's Lucas as well.

Oh man, I wish the collection my sister and I had made it through our child hood. We had them all - Vader with the telescoping light saber . . . yoda with the snake (I see you have it) . . . the medical bot from ESB (I can't remember the name right now).

I can't tell you how many stormtroopers we went through. (for some reason, their appendages would fall off when Solo shot them . . .

The only figures that remain in good condition, actually are from a three-pack . . . (you have them too - Han, Leia (both in Endor gear) and General Madine.

Agreed. I'd pay $80 just for the audio quality alone on Ep. IV. Sounds so good as compared to the prior releases it has engaged me more than it has over the years since first seeing it as a kid. <sniff><sniff><boo-hoo>

Meesa Back! Just got in a lil while ago with my 2 copies of the Complete Saga and 1 of my free T-Shirts.

So relaxing with some delicious Fish Tacos and the best of the best of Star Wars, The Phantom Menace.

And my god it looks and sounds beautiful. There may be some shots with some wonky DNR, but otherwise it looks amazing!
