Yes I know, but even the person I was discusing the is it/isn't it with has now seen it and agrees it's not hidden at all.

After all it's in the same place as "Video Commentary" on other objects from the "Collection" and they're not being called Easter Eggs

I have a 7.2 setup, and noticed the rear imaging of the 6.1 sound(rear channel is mono split between the two rear surrounds) on the first two is exceptional. I wonder if some of you who haven't noticed this are possibly running 5.1?

Edit: I mean there are things going on behind and to the sides of my couch that I have never experienced before. During the pod race, it almost seems like there are speakers on the ceiling, and on the floor. It's like I'm in the pod race.

I was just watching the Phantom Menace. And to be honest, I didn't realize how much a lot of fans hated Jar Jar Binks, until I started visiting this thread. And while watching the movie, I'm actually kind of surprised so many people hate him. I know his character can seem irritating and childish at times. But, with how many people hate on the wooden acting, by most of the cast, I find Jar Jar's voice acting to be probably some of the best acting in the movie. You think people would ease up on him when he sounds far more natural and geniune in his voice acting than almost all the other actors do in their normal acting.

I noticed if you play the film with the commentary track selected you only see the old 20th Century Fox logo.

So are you implying that Jar-Jar's over the top goofy cartoon dialog was meant to offset the wooden acting of everyone else? Hmmm...Interesting theory.

Have to totally disagree on this one. It was bad on the DVD and still overall does not seem to have been fixed. Unless by chance you had your system CRANKED up, compared to the other stuff I listened to including in ROTS itself the LFE in that opening sequence is lacking IMO. For reference I have Denon 2112,Paradigm for my speakers and an SVS 25-31 that shakes the walls plenty in my small roughly 12 x 12 room when I want it to

Those experiencing audio problems (dropouts) and/or video glitches (freezing/pausing/pixelating) with the Star Wars Blu-ray discs might wish to add their information to the thread I started here:

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1361400

I realize it's on a different forum. That's just where I happened to be when someone suggested we start a dedicated thread.

BTW, it is now being speculated that 'THX Media Director' might be the root cause of the audio/video glitches. The Star Wars discs are the very first Blu-rays with THX Media Director enabled. Just speculation but it sure seems "logical" because the problem is manifested on so many different player and receiver brands.

Shows you how bad the acting in that movie is period.

I read a little bit about the THX Media Director, but I didn't know/forgot it was on this. Isn't it something that readjusts your A/V settings, if your gear is THX MD compatible, or some crap?

I don't think Jar Jar's acting is Oscar worthy or anything, but even if he had good actors around his character, I don't think he would have been bad. Like I said, while obnoxious, I guess I'm just surprised at the outright hatred he gets from so many.

Yes, my understanding of THX MD is that it works similar to the proprietary automatic system setup/configuration codes found on brands like Samsung. But THX MD is designed to work across all brands (so equipped) so that, say, a THX MD-enabled Panasonic player would be able to configure a THX MD-enabled Pioneer receiver and a THX MD-enabled Samsung TV.

The THX Media Director data is apparently piggybacked on the bitstream signal.

I am as well I also get that he can be annoying but I just dont understand the hate dont get me wrong hes far from one of my favorite SW characters but hes hardly as bad as the fans make him out to be. I personally know people that are annoying than Jar Jar

It might add convenience for some people, but I don't ever want a blu-ray disc, even Star Wars, to automatically start fiddling with my TV or my receiver!

You made me think about it for a minute as to why I dislike, not really hate the Jar-Jar character and for me what it boils down to is the voice. They could have kept the speech pattern, dialogue, etc and if they only changed his voice to something less grating. I bet he would not be as disliked as he is.

For those that have watched Return of the Jedi and all (most) of the Special Features:
Has anyone seen the Scene that was supposed to be included here whether edited back in or as a Deleted Scene:
Luke building his Lightsaber.....
No site has listed it anywhere as being included in the set....

It's on Disc 8. Pick "VI" and then "Tatooine". Now go to "Extended & Deleted Scenes". It is the very first scene.

Ok, thanks.
I still have yet to purchase the set...
I know i will, but i'm waiting for a price drop, I've seen 1,2,3 & 4 and the films look crappy, especially 1 & 4, 3 sounds off and 2 was decent...
