Nor do we know who reports the sales. If there are major retailers aka Amazon that are not part of the numbers then who know how well or poorly it didn't sell.

Wal-Mart does not take part in reporting sales numbers. So that's another factor. Considering they had a Store Exclusive.

Regardless, the point stands that the set is 4x more expensive than Thor. The set did remarkably well considering a variety of factors.

One being that it's a catalog title as well. So not everyone is going to rush to upgrade it. And Thor was a BLU/DVD Combo Pack.

Hmmm I see the door cut off in the bottom picture. But hey that's me. Unless we see what is directly after the door it could be many tunnels that lead from that door. you see whTyou want to see though to fit your argument. Honestly it doesn't make a difference to me.

ok, guys just to clarify the sales news. Thor received 61% of its total unit sales from Blu, meaning DVD managed 39% of all unit sales for Thor. In the overall sales charts (meaning unit sales, not revenue), Star Wars: The Complete Saga sold 39.45% of the total units sold by Thor. Remember The Complete Saga was available only in Blu and Thor in Blu and DVD. All units for The Complete Saga X $79.99 will easily best all Blu-ray/DVD units (Thor) X respective selling prices for DVD and Blu-ray. Star Wars kicked behind in terms of generating cash...#1 for the week for both the Blu-ray and the overall (Blu-ray + DVD) sales chart.

Thanks. Maybe I missed it, but how many units did the Complete Saga sell? How many units did the OT and PT sell?

MY son and i decided to watch EP I last nite,
After all the comments etc about the bad transfer / DNR,, i was fearing the worst,,
And after seeing my sons face when the pod race started up, feeling them pods start up in our feet, him with that big grin on his face from ear to ear... the issues with this film just went out of the window,, it gives me a warm feeling when i see him so happy

Do you know how it compares to Thor if you combine Saga + PT + OT?

This is what SW is really about, imo Glad to hear you and your son enjoyed it so much - that's the power of film for you and it's why we all love these movies.

On TrueHD, it will play the TrueHD track, but that's not the case with DTS-HD MA. Ugh. I did let the player decode and play the core DTS track and didn't hear any dropouts. Is it possible it's just a bad batch of discs? Probably not, so an exchange would be a waste.

Maybe it's just time for a new player that properly decodes DTS-HD MA...anyone have problems with the Sony S380?

Kryptonic:

You probably should take a look at this thread over on AVS as this issue is being address over there-

That's what it's all about man! Ignorance truly is bliss -- my kids have made me enjoy the PT watching it through their eyes, and I'm grateful.

And a lot of people think the PT is awful. And a lot of people hate the revisionist changed to the OT.

And it was Friday. And it was kind of windy. But it was also hot out so people were outside. Plus the recession.

Everything I see and hear, IMHO, brings me in or takes me out of a movie. If my wife is sitting next to me crunching on ice, it COMPLETELY takes me out of a movie. If something doesn't stay the same size in a movie, it tends to be a bother. Especially something that is defined by an extremely long pan to make sure you notice that it is REALLY big.

The door size thing in ROTJ was an unnecessary change. Kudo's to Lucas for being a complete and utter idiot.....

Isn't the realism chucked right out the window when it comes to architecture because of that exterior door shot?

Hmmm... I think he wanted to say that he wasn't looking at the realism of the architecture but made a lil typo.

Heh chill dude, it's all just a little joke anyway.

They do need to be punished for their sins to the OT, though.

Anyway I watched Empire last night and HOLY HELL! It's always been my favorite SW movie but maaaan I forgot just how goddamn awesome it is. The Imperial March blasting me in the mind with it's thunderous brass section every time the Empire is on screen, the wonderful puppet work of Yoda, the twists, the turns, the Han/Leia thing, Lando's betrayal and redemption, Vader calmly waiting for them in Bespin, the whole Dagobah sequence... man oh man, this is by leaps and bounds the best SW movie and should easily be Top 20 all-time for all movies. The PQ and AQ is incredible.

It's funny, at first I was a little bit "Mmmm Muppets" when Yoda first appeared... but later, in the cave with the right lighting, he just looks real. I think CGI Yoda in the new trilogy is fine, but they better never replace OT Yoda and lose Frank Oz's incredible work to the annals of time. I will wail like a banshee.

Isn't that what you've been doing?

I really hope the muppet gets at least enhanced with blinking eyelids, etc. You sound like you need to take the advice Yoda gave Anakin in III. Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose. Instead, you're in full bore psycho stalker Anakin mode.
