Thanks for the kind words! From what I am hearing we should see the second Dark Knight Rises style by the end of the year, probably the week between Christmas and New Year's.

So do you deal in posters personally or as a business? If you have listings or anything I'd love to get a link or something!

I didn't get into this to collect really like I said, but as one who has collected lots of other things it's hard not to want to get into it. This stuff gets expensive though!!
Starmartyr, I can't self-promote on the forum (and rightfully so since the forum has rules) but you can private message me here if you would like.

When you guys get your posters from WBShop, report here, I am quite curious what type of care they put in their packaging, if any at all. I know Disney Rewards doesn't know how to package a poster up at all for shipping, leaving end caps on without tape, and using flimsy tubes, but curious how WBShop packages their posters. If not done properly, they will probably get hit with a lot of returns/refunds...if only sites like them would understand how important proper packaging is when it comes to a poster.

This showed up today. I'm taking a long break after this one and working on framing. Hopefully I can get Robert Englund to sign it when he's in town. My wife says it's her favorite out of all the posters I have. Go figure!

Definitely will do. So far their shipping estimates have been total shite. Ordered 11/29, order confirmation said 'will ship by 11/30', and yet they still haven't shipped as of today. I have received two responses from CS so far saying they are 'at the shipping stage' and that they 'will ship soon'. I could understand if they are taking the time to package them well and everything, but if they just end up here in crap packaging anyway then it will be a complete waste. We'll see just yet...

Kinsella5, any update on the Underworld Awakening posters? Both the U.S. and International double sided ones have been on eBay for 2 weeks now.

Any pictures of the Jurassic Park poster from Mondo framed yet? I got my copy a week or so ago and it's beautiful in person, but I won't be able to frame it for several months, so I'm just keeping it in the tube. I'd love to see what it looks like in a nice frame, hanging on the wall.

The ONLY thing I don't like about it is that it's designed like a theatrical poster, but it's 24x36 instead of 27x40. But I'm still very pleased.

I'm hoping to get mine framed next month or so. I'll post pics when I do.

Ok so later the same night that I posted the above, they finally shipped. I was just a little disgruntled at the time of posting...

So I'm tracking it, looks like it went DHL International Express, so it's going to be pretty quick. Probably be here Monday so we'll see what happens then.

The 24x36 ratio I have found to be pretty standard for screen prints. I'm not a big collector mind you, of the 8 prints I have only 2 aren't 24x36, one is 27x40, but that was because it was actually the theatrical reelease for the movie I believe (The Best Worst Movie, a Stout release) and the other one isn't a movie poster but Danny Miller's Mean Maxine print.

Two of the LOTR theatrical posters I ordered from wbshop arrived today.

As far as the packaging goes: the 37 inch cardboard tube arrived with the plastic ends taped on. The tube itself is fairly thick and should avoid damage caused by direct dings. On the inside sadly there is nothing but the posters. No protection of any sort. So with all this the edges have slight damage that could have been much worse considering the 10 inches of empty space.

The posters themselves are of seemingly top quality. Colors are rich, contrast as intended, and quite detailed (the image has a printed texture to it that resembles the boxes on the DVD EE). Though I am not qualified to determine, they appear to be original.

Good to hear - for the most part. That's too bad about no protection and edge damage. Frame should cover that though. Well thanks for detailing what you found. Mine shipped just yesterday but are already in town, which is ridiculously quick for a cross-border shipment. DHL International Express is basically 1-2 business day air shipping... so I hope that doesn't end up somehow costing me more!

Also I hope they end up in good shape despite the travel distance and rush on the shipping. I should see them Monday.

Glad to hear by your account that they are of good quality.

Was just going to post that, it is the 2nd advance and should probably be hitting theaters not this week but the week after. The 6-minute prologue will be attached to Mission Impossible IV but only in select cities/IMAX theaters. Yesterday they had a way to get tickets to see it this Tuesday (3 days earlier) by going to operationearlybird.com but nearly all of the free passes are gone. Basically people can see the prologue-only on Tuesday night at 10pm at select IMAX theaters. The site is still up for those who want to check to see if their area is still available. My guess is there will be a full trailer released in theaters probably in a few weeks, possibly even with standard screenings of MI4 or something the week after, etc.

Nothing, I may not be able to get them, if you go the eBay route and want my opinion on the sellers, let me know. I am sure some good people have them up there, but condition and packaging is important, so private message me if you need help and if I think they are legit I will give you the thumbs up.

Any idea if you are going to have any available to sell? May have to kick my GL poster out of its frame and pair this new one with 1st advance poster.

One sheet means its one sided right? Other wise less stated.

I used to buy posters all the time, but haven't for some time now and wanted to get a few more.

No "one-sheet" is just a technical term for posters that studios use, etc. If you have any questions about movie posters, you can post here, lots of good people on this thread. If you are looking for originals, becareful, lots of fakes/reprints out there, but if you don't care about collectibility and just want stuff to tack up on walls, then go with inexpensive reproductions, but sometimes you can get an original for the price of a reprint, but reprints have no value, originals do and often times they increase in value, some faster than others.
