I just checked the site and they still have some for sale for anyone looking, full sets and all the individuals. Not sure why one pays $5 more for the 3 pack, versus $40 alone.

shipping costs, shipping on each of the three makes it more than set as set has free shipping.

Default Moviemarket.com 15% off coupon

Moviemarket.com is having 15% off and has some great pricing on posters. I just got my Dark Knight Rises Advanced Teaser Poster Bane in. Same poster is $110 on Movieposter.com. What's up with that. I've bought from both before and the last few times I got damaged posters from Movieposter.com.

Nice poster. As I do with all my posters, I would have the 'Summer 2012' cropped...but that's just me.

I'm so weird, I bought another Underworld Awakening poster as a back-up just in case something happens to my other one. I couldn't pass up the price!

Hey, since you guys are so knowledgeable about posters.. do you know ANYWHERE else that sells this for a little cheaper? I see it everywhere, but it's never 27x40.

As I have mentioned in an earlier posting, when a dealer sells a "reproduction" in the 27x40 inch size, they are only doing so to confuse collectors. Reprints always used to be 26x39 or 27x39 but MovieGoods and their various sites sell them now in 27x40 inch size and others. They are digital prints simply blown up in various different sizes. The should clearly state on their listings that they are reproductions, but they don't, and you have to wonder why they do that....more than likely to get people to buy them thinking they are getting an official movie poster, when they are getting nothing more than a reproduction, and in all likelihood not an official reproduction either.

Regarding your other link, chances are no such poster exists, or it was an internal poster for television station affiliates. What MoviePosterShop (aka MovieGoods) is known for is taking every possible promotional image they can get either from online or from the press kits and then selling "prints" and "posters" from those images. Some television studios do offer original promotional posters for their shows but those are generally sent to the station affiliates that carry the show, and at times there is an internal catalog that employees can order items pertaining to various shows. Sometimes those items are coffee mugs, or shirts, or posters, I know Fox used to do that for The X-Files and some of their other shows years ago, unsure if they still do. But this "24" poster you are seeing is more than likely a promotional image that they are simply enlarging and selling on their site.

Cropped? Do you mean your trim your posters? If so, you are devaluing them big time.

I really beg to differ here, as I'm sure their intent is not "to confuse collectors", because that is such a tiny tiny niche customer base. They're doing so because there's an ACTUAL demand for 27x40 movie posters at an affordable (read: NOT collectors market) price. Also think of the framing options here, Average Joe can't walk into Michaels and get a 27x39 or 26x38 frame, but there's about 10 different versions of a 27x40 frame at an affordable price sitting right there for him to choose from.

You really can't feel that actual collectors who want the real deal are being duped on such a grand scale by MovieGoods.com and the like can you?

I don't collect......I have all my posters laminated and displayed.....to me, that's what they are for.......and I hate all the garbage at the bottom of most posters. If you're collecting, then obviously you won't be doing that.

I went there and looked at the poster again. For now decided against it but low and behold they did have Big Trouble In Little China and John Carpenter's The Thing so picked both of those up so excited for these! They were listed as original prints on the site.

I never crop them. I usually get posters that don't have credits on the bottom though. I end up liking those better then the ones with credits anyway. If there is only a poster I like with credits then obviously I get that one.

Picked up my Jurassic Park this afternoon. I'm pretty pleased with it. I think I saved about $100 with the new framing shop I found through craigslist of all places. Part of the savings was due to the smaller matting he recommended and wooden frame, but generally speaking I'm really really happy with the work they did. Triple matted, museum mounted, $165+taxes.

I haven't hung any pictures in the new theatre yet... I just can't bring myself to put any holes in the wall

I'll be using these guys again for sure. If anyone is looking for a framer in the Toronto area let me know via PM, I'll pass his name along for sure.

First shot is of the JP I just got framed and the second picture is it next to the two Michael's did for me a while back.
