For the price it is now, it's worth the upgrade.

Not only is it an upgrade but I thought it was great you don't have to sit through all those annoying previews just to get to the movie.

I agree. It is a solid upgrade over the DVD, and at the current price, it's a pretty good buy if you are interested.

Why is Mean Girls still so expensive? Besides the fact its a popular movie to date. Over $14 brand new for a catalog title with not so fantastic PQ doesn't merit a purchase right away.

Been wanting to get it for under 10 but its been impossible.

FYE has a regular in-store price of $9.99 for it.

I was looking for Mean Girls a few weeks ago and was surprised to not find it. So it just never had a Blu-Ray release so far? Consider me pumped.

edit: Oh I see this is an old thread. I guess Best Buy just didn't carry it or was out of stock. I'll try FYE if it's only $10 though, thanks.

After finding one at blockbuster and saying I'll wait till its $4, it sold at $5 and I missed out. So I bought it last night from red tag for $14 shipped.

Thanks for the heads up Quasi. Unfortunately the closest FYE is 20 miles away for me

I just read a user comment on how Sams Club has it for $5.99? Not sure how true that is.

Does anyone else's blu-ray disc to Mean Girls act up somewhere in the 29 minute mark whenever they're in the garage?

On my blu-player it would skip ahead a few seconds. I'm watching it for the first time on my laptop and that exact scene caused my program to freeze.

It's been a long time since I've watched my copy, but I don't recall any issues with mine.

I don't get it. ??
Mean Girls already came out on Blu Ray a few years ago in the US.
I bought it like a year ago on Blu Ray for $8 at Walmart.
Why is this in the blu-ray.com Release calendar as an upcoming release?
Is it a Special Edition or something ?

Mean Girls is one of the many OOP titles that Paramount bought the rights to re-release from WB, or vice-versa... There's a thread about it somewhere. Exact same movie, just being re-released by Paramount.

As others here have said, Lindsay Lohan was hot in Mean Girls...shame she's been downhill ever since. I remember going to the theater and seeing a life-size Mean Girls cardboard display which showed Lindsay in all her glory. I couldn't take my eyes off it. I wanted to take it home with me.

Paramount licensed films to Warner for a three year distribution deal. Same release, new distributor.
