No ... AOTC had the worst lightsabre battle of the saga ... even the OT battles while not as well choriagraphed (I can't spell) were emotionally charged ... they tried to add the emotional angle with Yoda reveling that Dooku was his old apprentice. I wish Anakin had fought longer with the two lightsabers ... now THAT would have been pretty awesome ... AOTC will always be my least favorite of the saga ... but that's my opinion

How does it ruin anything if the picture looks cleaner and clearer?

The OT doesn't look waxy at all to me. It even has some fine film grain which I like. TPM however looks terribly waxy in some spots.

The OT looks great on BD. It could probably look a bit better, but I doubt we are talking night and day here.

The only film that I am disappointed with in the PQ department of the saga is TPM. That one could look gorgeous, and they DNRd it way too much in some spots!

The rest is a 4-5/5 PQ wise. There is plenty of fine detail!

I don't know what settings the guy is watching these films with.

I think it has to do with weather it is properly calibrated or not. I get no waxy looking on my PJ at all.

All six Star Wars movies look downright outstanding on my LG 32'' 1080p LCD. I'll freely admit that this is not the most impressive home theater setup in the world, but I would not have thought about the picture quality complaints had they not been brought to my attention on this website.

I can ascertain when certain movies have less-than-stellar Blu-ray transfers (The Last Starfighter and Near Dark from my collection), but even those Blu-rays look superior to the DVD editions.

Love my DNR, can tolerate some grain, love this entire boxed set.

What I also enjoy are some of the people in this thread still complaining about this horrid release which they still own and still talk about. Think about that for a minute.
I didn't buy it.
I refuse to until they fix the way all 6 look.
Maybe with Disney, We'll finally be able to get good looking movies.
Of course, now they'll say that its a new remaster and the old LFL/Lowry were using old outdated machines compared to what we have now, so as for LFL/Lowry not to get sued for intentionally releasing an inferior product.

I thought Sith is one of the best ones to be honest. The emotion and betrayal in the end really built up Darth Vader into the icon he is. I feel very different about Vader since I watched the saga in proper order (Ep I-VI).
I don't want to make a big deal about this so I'll just say that the all green-screen, visually cluttered look of AotC didn't appeal to me at all. Nothing was convincing, everything was CGI. I'm also not a fan of the highly choreographed light saber battles in the PT. It just wastes time and also takes me out of the movie as it's nothing more than fan service.

As for RotS, well, by the time it was over, Vader had lost all his mystique for me and I hate the idea of whiny/constipated face Hayden Christensen behind the mask. They castrated the character and I'm not even sure I'll be able to put it out of my mind if I ever watch the OT again.
