Default DH-4O1S firmware?

I recently scored the $130 Lite-On BD-ROM drive from Newegg (model DH-4O1S). I have been trying to download the new firmware from lite-on's website but i get a not found error whenever I try regardless on whether I'm using the Americas website or the global website. Does anyone have a spare copy of the file they can email me?

Default Firmware issue

I am having the same problem. Tried looking for it in other places, however all other download links point to the same place.

I just purchased this unit from Newegg a couple of weeks ago. It was loaded with firmware CP52. I went to the Lite-on site and downloaded the new firmware, CP54.

Checked to see if there were any new releases and my search resulted in "no record".

What is going on? If anyone needs CP54 just send a message.

CP54 (2/15/08) is the newest listed on US site.

I posted a copy on mediafire for those having issues...

Hope that helps.

Appears that Lite-On released new firmware today. Still version CP54 but now the description of the file reads "This fireware only work on the hardware does not support DVDRAM read." I'm going to try it when I get back from work today, and if it still wont read the the Blu-Ray movie I got from Netflix, its going back to Newegg.

What movie is it you are trying to play? If the drive will not register that a disc is in the drive then the firmware might help, but if you just aren't able to play the title correctly, that's a PowerDVD problem. They have been good about keeping PowerDVD Ultra up to date and working with the latest titles, but the OEM version they ship with the drives they are always a couple months behind with updates. It sucks, but its a good way to get people to pay the money for the Ultra version.
