It does not matter how many players are sold it’s the amount of discs that are sold. If these Toshiba players some day hit $50 price points some consumers will just buy it thinking it’s a DVD player and purchase standard DVD’s to play in it.
As long as BLU-RAY camp continues to sale more movies compared to HD-DVD only discs (non combo discs) then BLU-RAY is winning the format war.
