Great homage.

I don't think Its unintentional-
After going through that gif for a number of cycles, it looks as if the face of the late Christopher Reeve was digitally morphed into Cavill's by the CG artists, and I guess on the filmmakers request. If you notice carefully, the jawline and the facial construction change subtly when the Reeve face comes up!
Here's an article I found on it- http://worldnewsviews.com/theres-a-s...stopher-reeve/
We have to wait for the Home Video version to get proper shots!

Or, it may be Reeve's Spirit!

It was truly incredible!

Guy is kind of a douche, but I agree with some of what he says. ON a side note, he really dislikes Spider-Man.

He bemoans the rampant loss of life in superhero movies lately. MoS might of upped the anti on that one, but we are dealing with characters of a far greater power level then any other. Additionally, I don't think audiences buy clashes like these with no loss of life. I don't think it's realistic to "take the fight to somewhere else" either. Takes two to make that happen, and a villain will keep going where it hurts the hero, put others in danger.

Superman held out hope for another solution, and he finally reached the point where there was only one when
[Show spoiler]he killed Zod.
It wasn't like he just didn't want 4 people to do so he did that.

Perhaps you were in the bathroom when the Kryptonians slaughtered the moon mission crews and later when they destroyed that small town.
And maybe it had another audio track that muted Zod's constant threats to kill anyone who stood up to him.

Needless to say when I left the theater in 1981 I didn't think Zod & company were dead.

Man of Steel is still moving along!

Domestic Total as of Jun. 26, 2013: $223,924,818
Worldwide: $412,224,818 last Foreign total was Sunday (6/23) so I'm looking forward to see what it has picked up this week.

MOS Needs around 7 Million to move ahead of "Fast 6" and around eleven to move ahead of "Oz" domestically for 2nd behind "IM3" so it should catch "6" by Friday and get "Oz" by the first of the week.

I know some have said it hasn't done good because it didn't compete with "IM3" but who realistically expected it to compete with IM3 the final film in a very successful trilogy?

Man of Steel with a great hold as far as theater count is concerned with only a loss of 1.8% as it heads into its third week. Inspire of its large drop last weekend, this movie will top $300 million in the domestic box office.

It seems he has a very idealized view of what a superhero should be. To him they should be perfect and nobody should ever get hurt on their watch

Yeah my brother hated how the final clash in the Avengers which showed nobody getting hurt or killed. Very Disney like.

I'll admit I'd rather the
[Show spoiler]World Builder touch down somehwere else then the heart of Metropolis
, but I had no problem with the destruction caused by the final fight. These characters are as strong as the Hulk, and they can fly really fast. Theres going to be big carnage.

At least the destruction of a city in Man of Steel didnt feel as pointless as the city destruction at the end of Star Trek Into Darkness and GI Joe.

$300 million for this domestically is far from guaranteed. It will be at about $228 million AFTER todays grosses. 2 other big movies come out this weekend (including another big action film)
SO its got STIFF competition from WWZ AND white House down.
Should drop at least another 60 to 65% to under $15 million for weekend number 3 putting it right over the $240 million number.
If it gets really strong Fouth of July week numbers it could maybe hit $300 million but I seriously doubt it since Lone Ranger and Despicable Me 2 come out on Wednesday (or tues nights?) all but wiping this out.

Basically the guy loved the movie, he said it was phenomenal. He said the acting was great, great story, beautiful cinematography, and an amazing score. He says it has the best display of action he has every seen in any movie, I totally agree with all his views. He gave it a 10/10. I'd highly recommend you watch his review, especially if you loved the movie. I always enjoy watching his vids.

If this film doesn't gross $300m domestic in the US then with absolutely NO shame Warner should just give up and shelve the cinematic Superman franchise, because in all honesty this film was simply superb, and beat hands down Iron Man 3 - The Tony Stark Adventures to a core. if audiences don't flock to this film then there ain't a great deal more than Warner can do, if anything, i for was thought the film was outstanding.

Nope, I know they all died too, but their actually fate is never revealed, so they could have survived, just like Zod and the gang I guess.

Yeah and thats coming from one that gave this movie 1 Star. Seriously 1 Star. Why should anyone listen to you
Who gives a crap about inflation. EVERY NEW MOVIE is under that rule then incl Avengers, Iron Man 3 evt.

And it actually didn't cost way more. BB cost 150 million MoS 225 which 170 of them was earned back on product replacement.
