HDCP doesn't have anything to do with whether Blu-ray will play at 1080p over component. If the player is designed to play 1080p over component, then the ICT (image constraint token) is all that should prevent that if it is ever used and it will also prevent 720p and 1080i. As far as whether or not your display accepts 1080p over component, I don't know, but that would have to be the case for 1080p playback.
