Or they give it to the office and that is a terrible punishment, for the office opens after I leave for work and closes before I get home, then I pray I can catch them during the weekend. Oh and no they do not believe in leaving packages or putting them in the secure lock and key package receives.. which is best since someone peed in one of them, and I always wonder if a package would get blessed... Gas is not too expensive yet, where I live you can drive in any direction and you will end up at a walmart... and walmart is closer then the post office, unless you count the grand praire one but we do not live in gp and thus it would be at the specific Arlington office. Best buy is in a small ways away, through frys is on the other side of town takes 45 minutes to get over there in light traffic, over a hour if there is traffic. But thats not important.. For I never have to worry about picking up a package from amazon, since amazon has never actually elected to send me anything ive ever paid for. |

Gas prices suck. I paid $3.52 a gallon on Sunday before it jumped up to $3.65 on Tuesday.
That being said, I have really cut back on my Blu purchases to only those AAA titles that I must have. I got Twister this week and I'm getting Narnia next week. I hope I can save up enough for V though! ![]() Last edited by bkbluray; 05-09-2008 at 08:45 PM. |

Thankfully, I live in a city that has mass transit. I take the subway into work and $100 of my travel for the subway is reimbursed by work. I have been on my current tank of gas for a month now, and I still have 2/5 left in the tank. It is expensive out here in the DC area with gas at about 3.85.
But I will continue to buy the bd movies that I want. ![]() |

I'm not gonna do the math as I have my head half way in some work, but by the time you convert the pound to the dollar you are talking nearly $10 for a gallon here in the UK (someone I'm sure will post an exact figure).
The thing is I don't drive, everyone around me does. I live in the city so I make use of public transport (if only there were more of me huh)!!! It's tough to just live though, make bills and rent etc... I remember picking up way more DVD's than I can afford Blu Rays! It's getting pretty crappy I have to admit! |

3.85 for regular here in my side of Washington. It hasnt effected my blus much. Its has really effected how I drink. I dont go to bars as much, and now I just buy booze at the store and drink it at home. It saves about $100 a week so im good

Prices haven't quite affected my BD purchases yet, but they have affected other areas of life. Like we don't go out to see movies in theaters as much but rather have Amazon ship us a BD movie and watch it. Having to cut down on the "Nights Out on the Town" too! O well, I guess that's just what they call 'Quality Time' when you're at home w/ the fam! |

Gas is killing me. Last June I bought an 07 BMW X5 and being a guy and having an ego, had to buy the 4.8 model. Can I tell you that my computer in the car says I average 10.6 miles a gallon and I fill up at $3.96 a gallon every 4 days or so. It's downright AWFUL. Yes, I blame my car as well and my ego.

I know the DFW airport has a monorail system that feeds off into other areas of the DAFW area. Perhaps if an investment was made, you could see a monorail line go out to your area. The problem with Texas is that it is so spread out, it would be hard to service all the areas. I'm from Austin, and I know that they approved a light rail system before I left, but it still hasn't been set up. Houston has a lightrail system, but I don't know how effective it is. Texas is different animal than dense urban areas like there are on the East Coast. |
