see im not sure about that entirely and heres why

He played 140 games in 1992 and on avg hit a HR every 4.2 games

He played 159 games in 93 and his HR avg went up to 3.6 games

Statistically speaking thats a HUGE jump

We can take the following years subsequently and hes what you get

94 - 3.0
95 - 4.3
96 - 3.7

00 - 2.9
01 (73 HR Year) - 2.0
02 - 3.1

Im simply stating its awfully funny that his jump is similar between 92/93 to when we know he was juicing 00/01. The only person we could compare him to in this day in age would be Miggy and see how Bonds numbers compare to Miggys, or Hanks, or even Babe, and see statistically if jumps like that are even possible.

Bonds didn't throw anything away. He juiced and it made him a ton of cash and a lot of broken records. You think Bonds cares about the HOF or what anyone thinks about him? He's never cared about his public image. Technically he didn't even break any rules since MLB didn't test when he played.

Well said, and sure, media and most people hate him, but he's an awesome freaking guy, when I met him, he was very humble and down to earth, the fact that he gave me an autograph baseball bat becuase it was my birthday, just show's what type of person he is....

He was a complete jerk every time he was in town. His dad, however, was awesome.

Typical blind fanboyism.

You made ZERO effort to understand what I was saying (Hint: I did not say Jeter is Tebow).

I'm not going to bother to try again.

Jeter is like Tim Tebow. Played a position he's not suited for, but too much pride to admit it. Difference obviously being baseball is a different game so Jeter could still do enough to keep his job.

Going to check out the Cubs new Mesa spring training facility next month and see them play the Rockies on March 11. They also will pay the Dodgers while I'm down in Arizona but tickets are insanely expensive for that game, especially when you consider that probably half the regulars for each team won't play at all and all the starters will be done by the end of the 4th inning at the latest.

Braves locked up another key piece at a great price with Craig Kimbrel signing a 4-year, $42 million deal + club option. Considering he was asking for over 9 this year and would likely be in a 12/15/17 path the next few, it could save the Braves a good bit of money and kill some trade talks.

So in the last few weeks, the Braves have signed:
* Jason Heyward: through arbitration years
* Freddie Freeman: through arbitration years and first 5 free agent seasons
* Julio Teheran: through arbitration years and first 2 free agent seasons with team option for 3rd.
* Craig Kimbrel: through arbitration years and first free agent season with team option for 2nd.

Word is that they are also talking with Andrelton Simmons. I imagine discussions are happening with at least Mike Minor or Kris Medlen, if not both.

A deal worth $10.5 mill a year is bargain for the current best closer in baseball. That's far below his true market value. Nice to see him locked up.

And the 5th year team option is only $13 million. Basically, if he is even in the ballpark of his current performance, it'll be a 5-year, $55 million deal for the Braves.
