That's why MS got into consoles .. Crazy Ken back in the late 90's stated the Playstation brand would be the trojan horse into the living room .. for more than just gaming..same market MS was approaching from the PC side.

MS wants you to buy a gaming console plus a PC given their heritage - windows. Sony wants the mainstream to buy a single hardware device given their CE background.
