Default Face/Off Blu-ray - What happened?

I actually ordered this from Amazon a few weeks back, but I guess that it is no longer available?

Does anyone know when Paramount will be re-releasing or replenishing this movie? I thought it was supposed to be out by now...

All of these Paramount movies can be found in Walmarts Targets, and Best Buys. Amazon has just been low in stock on many of them as some people are getting them and some arent.

Default Face/Off

I got it at Best Buy the day it came out but they also have it at Wal-Mart now that they expanded their Blu-Ray selection.

You should find them at a reasonable price, somewhere between $15 & $19...

Walmart is $20 and that's the cheapest I've seen. Circuit City and Best Buy want $25 each.

Yep, I gave up on Amazon back on May 22, and picked it up at Wal-Mart for $19.96 + tax.

Yea, was getting sick of waiting for Amazon to get in gear, so I too will start looking locally.

I wonder what the hecks going on with them lately, the seem to be slipping.

Happens!! Its a supply demand thing. The titles sold faster than expected as they released previously released titles plus new ones and they are filling the channels. WM has them sitting on the shelves, Amazon is selling them....big difference.

Costco has them for 18.99 FYI

I've seen it at Best Buy. Wal-Mart tends to not carry the older titles much. I had to go online just to find Man On Fire.

Unfortunately, gas cost will continue to play an ever increasing factor in what can be bought (and made sense) locally. For me the nearest Wal-mart is about 2 gallons of gas (round trip) in either direction. As a retiree, I can't justify going that way just to pick up a movie.

So Face/Off (which Amazon is telling me they probably will have to cancel my order of) will cost me at least $10 more (gas plus tax) buying it locally then any price I could get online. That hurts.

I'm going to wait and see if Amazon will still come through -- I really don't care how long it takes (heck, it's not as if F/O hasn't been out for years in some format so I don't really need to see it "now"). If I happen to find myself at Wal-mart or CostCo (even further for me) for some other reason I'll certainly see if it's there for a reasonable price, though.

When gas does reach $8 per gallon (and it will before the decade is out) it will be very interesting to see the choices we'll all have to make.

I am willing to bet that more will be made. We waited this long for Para to come back an other little stretch won't hurt/

Just remember that Blu-rays are still not that popular, and therefore they're pressed in the tens and hundreds of thousands and not in the millions. This causes the supply to diminish quicker and the demand to rise faster. Especially with popular catalog titles such as Face/Off. Also, there are a lot fewer production lines available for Blu-rays than for DVDs.

Patience is a virtue.
