Clean Up Blu-ray.com

This is in no way an attempt to offend gay/lesbian/straight people as I could care less which hole you stick it in. I thought this was a website for Blu-ray/ home theater . If we are not allowed to talk about RELIGION & POLITICS. Then SEX is another TABOO topic. If you would like to talk about PORN. There is 100,765,906,565,984.99 websites on the web where you can discuss porn or try to score booty. Maybe even try your local "REST AREA" off the interstate or try a local bar. It is a little graphic to even think about " hey did you see that hemeroid on John or Debbie's booty hole in HD". This seems to be a recent occurance here and should be best if it is brief. If in fact we are allowed to talk about TABOO topics then There is no damn GOD, Obama for President and my favorite: I WOULD LOVE TO TAKE PENELOPE CRUZ UP TO MY BEDROOM AND.......................... GET THE POINT. For those of you who are in control of Blu-ray.com you need to clean this place up!!!!!!!!

What is the difference in discussing a porn blu ray and any other blu ray? I would understand your concern if the title of the thread is explicit, but the mods would change it in a very short time if it was, and it is your choice to enter a thread about porn where you know it is very likely that these comments will be made.

Porn is rated "X" not "R" when you come to Blu-ray.com you may expect adult subject matter not "X" rated material. Just as talk of religion, politics is of bad taste. I don't think Blu-ray.com is the proper outlet for anything other than Bluray/Movies/Tech/Home Theater period.

I apoligize to anyone who may have been offended by a certain choice of words. My point had to have the same effect as graphic "X" rated material is. It is the wrong outlet for such topics.

I do not want Blu-ray.com to be stripped of any sponsors or supporters it may have comercially or by forum members, but that is what will happen. Like it or not

All I know is that I personaly will not support such material here or would continue to promote this site to others if "X" rated material is discussed or supported.

Whoever is in charge should publically make it known if Blu-ray.com supports material of "X" rated nature and allow such discussion. A line should be drawn in the sand. Where do you stand?

I personally don't purchase X rated Blu-rays and do see the pains for the mods that come with said topic being in the forums. However I stand by my comments about this being a general site about all things Blu-ray so the topic of porn is still on topic and relative to this site until otherwise noted. I by no means think that this site should in some way have screenshots of porn making into a site that it is clearly not, but maybe a specific forum thread that is controlled by rules would be in order to solve the issue at hand.

I understand your concern, but the fact remains that there is porn on Blu Ray, and no matter the rating, discussion about any Blu Ray is a relevant topic. It was discussed in another thread about having an adult sub section, which may be a good move by the mods, so access under a certain age can be restricted.

Clearly we are in need of knowing specifics of what you can and can't do here on Blu-ray.com. I agree some things are too graphic in nature. I personally draw the line at "R" rated material. Rules are a "GOOD THING".

We are all here to discuss and help eachother out with Blu-ray/Home theater related topics.

here are the facts Jack... is that your name? Cause if it isn't, whoops! Anywho, this site is comprised of primarily dudes. Most of the dudes are straight. Most straight dudes like lesbian and straight porn. Some of this type of porn is available on blu. If it's available on blu, then it should be on the table to discuss. If you're not comfortable with it, don't click it, or you'll get a ticket.

You have the facts in my opinion. You just want to bend it to your liking or see it as you would without listening to other's explainations.

I think MrKenSebben and some other members have already explained that blu-ray.com is a supporter of BLU-RAY DISCS.

On the main websites, it is also easy to tell that BD.com is a supporter of BLU-RAY TECHNOLOGY, and hence a forum for members to discuss BLU-RAY TECHNOLOGY AND DISCs.

Now, tell me, which part of that fact is not a fact.

If that is the guideline, what is wrong of some members talking about PORN BDs?

They are still BDs. Thats a fact.

They use BD technology. Thats a fact.

I dont see anywhere on the website that hints BD.com supports any contents of the BD.

Now, if you want to go head and ask, does BD.com support Porn?? Well, that is a personal question of you only as I see no one, including myself, would even ask such question.

This site has been great providing great reviews and info and this is the first site on BD that I think is actually helpful.

Sure, some reasonable guidelines can be set, but you're in the US. Freedom of speech and I dont think some light discussion of Porn BDs is wrong.

There is a fine line between your recommendation/wanting for a guideline and your seemingly accusasion of BD.com supporting Porn.

Now, people TALK about porn BDs, fine. You just dont go in. Now, if people POST PICTURES of Porn, thats another story.

Just leave it to "Busty Babes 8, had good picture quality, and 5.1 DTS audio track" etc.... no screen shots, no cover-art pictures... etc... A "what adult films are worth purchasing, and what ones aren't" thread wouldn't be bad either, but like I said....

No cover-art or screen shots..... even the Covers are "suggestive" then it's up to the Mods to crack down on all of the 16 year olds here who run into the thread to make their inuendos etc......

Or flat out not allow it.... I'm not saying it's not Blu-Ray related, but if it's more trouble than it's worth..... then why discuss it?

You unintentionally bring up a good point though- as with any pron, there has to be safeguards from underage (and sorry, 16 is under in the US) kids seeing or discussing said material. Are there age checks in place? Outside of a simple 13 or older forum signup check, the answer is no.

There are legal issues to consider as well. I'd hate to see the site get in trouble because someone's parent saw them looking at inappropriate material on the site.
