Really great finale, agree that the AoD/Harryhausen-y skeleton guys were well done. That headless one that stabbed Jojen? What a creep! (Although I'm secretly glad they don't have to drag Jojen around anymore). Hulk Hodor was also a fun addition.

The entire scene with The Hound and Brienne was one of my favourites of the series. Her little interplay with Arya at the start was a joy to watch, and the fight was mesmerising. I think if The Hound hadn't been through so much recently and had been better fed/rested he would have definitely taken Brienne. As much as I was sad when Arya left him to die miserably, I'm also holding out hope that we might see him again as a result.

I had a feeling Tywin wasn't going to last much longer after Cersei revealed her "secret". I hope Tyrion is off somewhere nice now - I liked how Varys decided to go with him after the bells started tolling. He wasn't about to stick around for that mess.

Anyone noticed or its just me or may be i missed some details.....need some light upon

When Brianne met Arya and told her about her safe rescue and about her journey origin from kings landing i was expecting Arya will inquire about Sansa as i remember Arya saw his sis Sansa at the execution of Ned Stark. And afterwards Arya never askd about Sansa. Isnt it bit unnatural or something i missed ?

So as far as Cersei is concerned; Tyrion killed her mother, killed her father, killed her oldest son, and sold her daughter away. I'm guessing they never reconcile.

I think The Hound taught Brienne a lesson, that fighting like a Knight doesn't always work on people fighting for their lives, so she learnt to fight dirty fast.

Reading the books, I always thought Arya couldn't kill The Hound as she cared for him after they'd been through so much together. Even though putting him out of his misery was the right thing to do, she just couldn't bear to do it. In the show she was pretty much emotionless walking off.

You saw the Hound questioning Brienne about her Valyrian steel sword and I'm sure Arya was thinking she was on the Lannister side.

I was kind of hoping she would say 'i'm looking for Sansa' too, but that would've ruined the fight

Great episode, every scene is memorable.

+1 more for hoping The Hound lives

I get what you're saying, but in another way her caution not to display emotion is in part based on how The Hound has taught her to act. By stealing his money and leaving, you could see it as her display to him of showing what she's learnt from him, whereas killing him would have been a weakness that he wouldn't have respected (even though he begged for her to do it). She didn't need to cross him off her list because, after all they'd been through, he wasn't on it anymore. That's how I felt about it, anyway.

I always thought she just wanted him to suffer. By that point she had gotten pretty dark, I don't think she would have hesitated to finish him off if that's what she wanted to do.

She showed him the same mercy he showed the butcher's boy.

Yeah you can't blame him I would have been on the boat as well, who wants to live in a city where Cersei is in charge? no thank you!

I did think that was incredibly poignant, once he realized that yes, what he suspected Tyrion did is really what he did. Going back to earlier conversations even back in Season 1 where Varys said he served the Kingdom, not a specific ruler - he knew that hell was about to break loose.

It was also a bit of a comical moment, in a lovely dark and twisted way - you could almost hear the Giles "Oh, dear..." in his head, haha.

Now it's going to be fun with Tyrion and Varys "on the road" together - I fully expect we will see comic memes about the traveling Dwarf and the Cut Man off to see the Wizard of Bravos, LOL.

I agree with the last bit but I thought the whole scene of showing The Hound kill the guy a few episodes earlier was that he was showing his compassion even if it was in a violent way. It's funny how we read things differently but I think what're you're saying his true with regards to the show (Arya seems detached) but in the book it just played differently.

Hahaha, I knew it! OK, so it wouldn't have taken Kreskin to figure it out - but I'm betting that final courtroom scene was what we will see in the Emmy clip. Yay for Peter Dinklage!

And SUPER YAY for Lena Headey!!! First time nominee! I really would love for her to take it home. She really is brilliant - I've been watching some of her previous work lately (some of which I had seen but never realized it was her she is such a chameleon) and it's amazing she's been in Hollywood for so long and working so much before really breaking out like this.
