Sorry, loved MGS4 but had to give it an 8. One play through and I am done. Great game, but crazy long cutseens. I am not a hater, and it is one of the best games out there right now, but there are few games that I have played that can even get close to a 9, one being the Half-Life 2 games. HL2 has so much replay value for me. Another that is close to a 9 for me would have to be company of heroes. Sorry, casual fan of the MGS series, played MGS1-4 but still no 10.

I'm on my 4th run threw atm

trying to get the Big Boss Emblem and a few more and I'll have everything unlocked. I give it a 10/10, the fact that every play threw has been completly different and just as fun as the first time I played it is just amazing...

On another note anyone know any Passwords? I have 1 it's abraham it unlocks the Mobs Alive iPod song.

just finished it.. it my eyes metal gear solid for ps1 was the best game i've ever played..... that game deserved a 10... mgs 2..... a 8 ...mg3... a 7 and mgs4... a 9, simply for the fact that some of the scenes were cheesy and cliche, but that didnt stop it from kicking ass, great storyline as always, sick graphics and really set the mark for next generation shooters.

ther is a few bits in this game that annoy me a little.

what is the point in stopping a cut scene to let you walk 5 yards just to start another cut scene just let it play through.

MGS3 first time through - loved it, but the pressure in my mind to get through quickly to take in the story conflicted with my intention to play the game as stealthily as possible. Second playthrough, third playthrough - frikkin' loved it. One of my top 10 favourite games of all time.

10/10 because i never been so emotional while playing a game before. the game was intense, i like the controles, the new wepon system, the story, just everything. what i didn't like about it?..........i cant think of anything.

The real number for this game is a 9.5. But given the choices, I'll round up.

The cut scenes could have used some editing, but it is only a minor thing when looking at the big picture. This game is great on so many levels. It really does set the bar.

More interaction in the cut scenes. That is the only thing wrong with it. (Like when you have to hit a combo of buttons in God of War)

Kojima did a great job capturing emotions. I really got into it and really felt for snake during act 4

yeah same lol this is the only game I have ever played that was like that
