I think he's being sarcastic... and I hope he is.
The impression I have of him is that he's the kind of guy that would prefer original language... don't know why, that's just my impression.

A film needs to stay the way it was meant to look/sound by the filmmakers. That means no alterations of audio to any other language to make other people understand it. This is where subtitles come in. Idk how ppl exaggerate and say they don't wanna "read" a movie. R u kidding me???

The run on sentence and "lol" at the end didn't tip you off, surfdude?

Jalapeno infused vodka is tooo tasty.

I think I've mentioned before that I lived in Japan for 3 years - and being able to understand a language really gives you a deeper appreciation of that culture's cinema. As you mentioned, every little inflection, intonation, and even choice of words is tremendously important to the film's meaning. When I'm watching Japanese movies, I notice that quite often what the actors are actually saying is different than what the subtitles are displaying. I think having that background in a language gives you a much more insightful experience when watching a movie in that language.

My fiancee, who is Russian, also constantly notices mistakes in translation and tells me what they are really saying in the movie. She said RocknRolla was the worst she's ever seen - more often than not, the subtitles literally had no connection to what was actually being spoken.

Sucks to hear Brandon, the filmmakers should have complete control of the subtitling like Guillermo did for Pan's Labyrinth.

You know, I don't really know if incorrect translation is that widespread or not, usually it's not that drastic to me really. Apparently RocknRolla was ridiculously bad though. Usually it's just very slight differences, but to me they still have a slight effect on the scene. For example, one of the most important scenes in Seven Samurai, when Kikuchiyo saves the baby from the burning barn, and he says that he was just like this baby, the same thing happened to him - I've seen that scene translated three different ways, in three different editions.

Dubs almost always get something wrong or sound horrible, I can't stand them. If you can't be bothered to read subtitles then don't bother watching foreign films, because it's the only way these films should be seen if you don't understand the language.

I wouldn't watch a dubbed movie any more than I'd watch a movie in the wrong aspect ratio.
