I purchased my 60gb Playstation on the launch date in denmark, the 26 march 2007, for the full price of 1000$ (current US currency), along with this was another 160$ for two games, 150$ for an extra controller and remote and another 200$ for 3 blu rays.. I must admit that i dont feel ripped or cheated, because I honestly feel it has been worth every single penny.

I do however agree that Sony could do something for the people who backed theyre ps3 from day one. Some free blu rays, a game, anything realy.
In Europe, there hasnt to my knowledge been anything similar to the US offer with 5 free blu rays/and another 5 in store - the closest I ve come to that is amazon.co.uk and dvd.co.uk who, this christmas, have had a buy 3 for 2 special.... Come on Sony! We want freebies!

That's the risk of buying almost anything. You never really know when the price will drop, to how much, and any special future deals.
I bought my 60gb when it lowered to $500, but just a few weeks later the 80gb comes out.

everyday that my piece of shit 360 breaks on me, i have to pay like 65 dollars to get it replaced, so it's already costing way more than my 60gig ps3 whitch hasn't had any glitches since i bought it.

so u see the ps3 is by far a great investment and totally worth every penny.

This sort of thing happens to everyone at some time. Case in point: I purchased the Onkyo 805 when it was fairly new on the market for $1200.00. Now, 9 months later, my buddy just bought it for $750.00. Not complaining. Thats life!

I have a solution for you, Get rid of every item that has anything to do with MS aka Microcrap. We have a total of 5 macs in the house and a new PS3 never had a problem with any of them.

I didn't give them the name Microcrap they earned it.

One of the Macs we don't use anymore because it's so old I keep on the shelf because it looks so damn kool. Shame I can't have it refurbished to stand today's spec.

I call bullshit.

I bought a PS3 from Target, used it for over 2 months and returned it. No questions asked. The girl at the counter actually said they NEVER see them coming back and thought I was crazy.

I think there's a 90 day return policy there.

Would you have liked to have paid less and got free movies? SURE

Were you ripped off - even in the slightest bit? NOPE

No regrets whatsoever. I am one of the early adoptors but not crazy as in paying extra on top of retail price from secondary sources like ebay. Because I have the PS3, I stopped buying regular DVD completely and therefore investing into the future format. Some of my friends bought the DVD version of planet earth and eventually will kick themselves for doing it. I did not waste any money purchasing a upscale DVD player either which at the time would have costed me at least $150.

With my HD TV plus the PS3, I had countless hours of high quality entertainment, from blu-ray, HD cable, games, etc. Even my wife feels that it was a great family investment.

Furthermore, being an early adoptor, I have @folded for close to a year 24X7 and feels good about being able to contribute.
