Default Help with white noise

Hi, I've got a ps3 and a 720p lcd that can also play in 1080i. I've just recently begun trying to play BDs on it, but every time I play one there is very noticeable "white noise" on the screen. This also happened when I play some games, but it isn't nearly as bad as BDs.

I'm not too savvy with this stuff, but as far as I can tell my ps3 is currently set to play videos in 1080i. Can someone please help me with my white noise issue? Did I just miss something that I needed to set up?

Could be a HDMI cable issue, you might want to check into changing the cable.

It could also be the video processing on the television(i.e. sharpness, contrast, etc.). Make sure your set is properly calibrated and the sharpness setting is low. A High sharpness setting can cause artifacts.
